I just wanna say that I love my power couple tony stark and pepper potts. They always have each other's backs ever since. The ride and die couple.

Yes, I DID sign that Tony Stark Petition.

Here's why:  I see petitions as a perfectly valid way for consumers to provide feedback and criticism, let a business know how said consumers feel. "It's entitlement!" No, it really isn't. If THEY want OUR money, why SHOULDN'T we get to tell them whether we are satisfied with their service? No one is FORCING them to LISTEN -- that's not how petitions work. They won't be forced to acquiesce to our demands. But they CAN be better informed on what to do or not do to get the petitioner's money, and then decide their future actions accordingly. Consider it a form of market research, but initiated by the consumer instead of the producer.

And THIS is what I wrote on the petition ….

Honestly, I don't hold any illusions about Marvel changing their minds, BUT this actually seems a good way to criticize a terrible and cliched plot point. Frankly, I find it DISTURBING that so many think the "perfect" end for a character is for them to DIE rather than get a happily ever after -- and spend the rest of their life doing more good things. It's suicide ideation, is what it is. And I would never want someone else to die for me; I would have a hell of a case of survivor's guilt after. Tony had an absentee father, and look how it hurt him; who would want that for his daughter? The filmmakers took away his chance to do better by his own child.  Why does Cap get a chance at a good, long life with a family, but not Tony? (Don't get me started on how terrible a plot point it is to see Steve leaving Bucky behind after spending multiple films trying to be reunited with him -- dude couldn't take Bucky WITH him into the past …?) Now, Tony TRYING to sacrifice himself is fine -- he did it in the original Avengers, and it worked beautifully -- but ultimately, the Avengers SHOULD have done what the Guardians did with the Power Stone -- all take the brunt of the power together, so no one person would have to die. Or else someone could have used the Reality Stone to restore him. I did not spend ten years with this character to want to see him die; that is NOT an acceptable payoff for all the time money spent following this character. Fiction is ESCAPISM -- if I wanted to hear about "heroic-but-permanent" deaths, I'd watch the NEWS, where there's *plenty* of death. (Seriously, why do people WANT death in their life in areas where they don't HAVE to have it?? Sometimes I think writers just get carried away by the power trip of having control over life and death.) At any rate, I have lost all faith in the Russos, Markus, and McFeely. Now I know to stay far, far away from anything they touch. Meanwhile, Marvel, I might not expect you to actually bring Tony back -- I doubt RDJ would want to do it -- but I hope you at least take into consideration how your CUSTOMERS feel. Even the millions who saw the film but aren't signing this petition still would probably have enjoyed the story JUST AS MUCH if you *hadn't* killed Tony off! So you would have made nearly ALL of the fans happy (and I'm not sure the fans who would WANT Tony dead really deserve that kind of happiness), instead of upsetting over 35,000 fans.

I’m going to take this as the spoiler it is. Tony Stark (and Pepper) finally get that happy ending. It’s done. No changing my mind. 💯 Tony sets things right and retires into the sunset.
