93 floors located at 200 Park Avenue at East 45th Street, New York City, New York.
Stark Tower was built and designed by Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. Originally, Tony intended that everything from the penthouse and above would be a luxury home for the two of them. After the battle with the Chitauri, he redesigned and rebuilt the damaged area. As soon as it was finished he donated it as headquarters for the Avengers.
The environmental controls, security, and any connected computer systems are managed by JARVIS throughout the entire building. Any employee can talk to JARVIS and make requests by simply speaking out loud.
The Avengers section - Floor 93 to Floor 82
The top twelve floors include luxury rooms for the Avengers. Each room is designed and decorated according to the specific need or desire of its occupant. There are several dozen unassigned rooms that are used for guests or visitors as needed. There is a state of the art fitness room, private theater, medical area, kitchen, and the former penthouse serves as a common room. There is also a highly secure room filled with all of Tony’s latest technology that serves as a staging room for Avengers related missions.
The section is accessed by a private elevator via a back entrance into Stark Tower from the ground floor. Only Bruce Banner and Tony Stark can currently access the elevator from the Stark Industries section.
The Party Deck - Floor 81
There is a landing pad for helicopters or any VTOL aircraft. There is also Tony’s personal landing pad which includes a walkway for his armor removal. The deck access the common room by the windowed doors and a door at the end of Tony’s walkway.
Tony and Pepper’s apartment - Floor 80
The floor under the party deck was redesigned as an apartment for the couple. They are the only two that have unlimited access to that floor, but either can allow guests.
Tony’s workshop - Floor 79
The floor under the apartment is where Tony works on his latest suit designs and inventions. Pepper has access to the workshop. There is a private freight elevator for moving large pieces into and out of the workshop. That connects to his ground floor garage workshop.
Stark Industries - Floor 78 to 1
Everything below Tony’s workshop belongs to Stark Industries.
Floor 78 and 77 contain the executive offices. Tony’s office is next to Pepper’s.
Floor 76 contains various board rooms and meeting rooms.
Floor 75 to 66 are dedicated to R&D.
Floor 75 Bruce’s lab is the top most secure floor. Bruce and Tony have unlimited access to it. Bruce has been given the authority to allow or deny access on a case by case basis.
Floor 74 through 70 are the classified sections of R&D usually dealing with SHIELD or other government agencies.
Floor 69 through 66 are the business and philanthropic research areas.
Floor 65 to 61 contain several biological laboratories
Floor 60 to 56 are for testing various new Stark designs
Floor 55 to floor 2 contain everything else needed for Stark Industries business functioning
Floor 1 has the lobby area where the public comes into Stark Tower. There’s also the private access area for the Avengers and Tony’s garage workshop.
The floors below Stark Tower contain the Arc Reactor that runs the entire building.
[This is. So. Freaking. Useful.]

The team learns about Peter's stress baking fairly quickly after he moves into the tower.
"Why does this place smell like cookies?" Tony asks suspiciously, "Pepper put an end to homemade care packages after that Cap incident."
Steve protests from the dining table, "Hey, that fan seemed totally normal. Y'know in my generation you do not mess with baked goods, that's sacred."
Natasha pats his back comfortingly as she joins the conversation.
"They came from the kid. They're actually pretty good, here."
Nat hands a still-warm cookie to Tony, who bites it curiously.
"Damn, it melts in my mouth like buttery ambrosia and still has a perfect crunch around the edges. Is that a nutty aftertaste?"
"Yes!" Peter yells from the other room, a clatter sounding before his head pokes around the wall, oven mitts still attached to his hands.
"I brown the butter, it really deepens the flavour!"
"Good on you kid. What's the occasion?"
Peter stutters, "uhhhh, no occasion. I just like cookies!"
He disappears around the corner again, and Tony sends a confused glance towards his teammates.
Steve shrugs his shoulders, mouth still full of cookie, and Natasha sends him an arched brow. Tony isn't sure what that means, but feels intimidated enough to exit the room anyway.

The baking lasts the rest of the week, until Peter comes home yelling, "I aced my calculus midterm!!!" Running out of the elevator with a stapled set of papers in his hand.
"So no more baking?" Nat asks neutrally.
"Nope! Woohoo!"
Just like that the kid is gone, jumping down the hall towards his bedroom.
Tony looks at Nat quizzically.
"It was midterm week. He baked 3 dozen cookies, 2 types of muffins, and a cheesecake."
"So he stress bakes?"
"He stress bakes."

It becomes a "thing" in the tower.
I haven't abandoned this story. I just put it on the back burner for now. The story is just on a small vacation. It is currently out of office. It can't come to the phone right now. It just fell under my bed to sleep with the monsters. It never left my head. It is everywhere - except on paper.
people on my dash are annoying again and i'm tired of being a bitch about it so let me just say - if you read my fics and don't leave a comment, you're fine. it's fine. I'm not mad, I don't think you ungrateful, or an asshole, or whatever other guilt-trippy bullshit people spout here day in and day out. I post my stuff in the hopes of it bringing others joy, too, and yes of course comments bring me joy in return, but I don't think anyone owes them to me. if it brings you joy and i never know, if you "only" leave kudos, if you only lurk, if you literally never interact with me for literally whatever reason, it's fine. i promise. i love you. i hope the words bring you joy without there being any hang-ups about it <3
So I finished my Age of Ultron rewatch. It's been a couple of years since I last saw it, and here are some random thoughts I had on it:
Things I will maintain I like about this movie:
It has some of my favorite jokes in the MCU, and they're usually the little moments. The little nod of validation Rhodey makes after getting a laugh at his "Boom! You looking for this?" story. Clint telling Steve he's no match for Ultron and Steve replying with, "Thanks, Barton". Clint's "Yeah, you better run" after Pietro has long since disappeared with Wanda, there are loads of them.
I like Vision, Wanda and Pietro. Despite being secondary characters with not a huge amount of screen time, Wanda and Pietro feel like real people with real backstories, and Paul Bettany is wonderful the first time we see him as Vis.
It's the only movie we get to see the Original 6 hang out as friends.
I love that Fury randomly shows up in the middle and is like "let me make a sandwich while we discuss how not to let the world end also by the way hi Tony I really care about you"
Other casual appearances of other MCU characters, something that is so lacking Phase 4 onwards. Sam being at the party and Thor going to Selvig for help makes the world feel lived in.
RDJ's never dropped the ball as Tony but his performance really stuck out to me here, god he's good
Steve and Thor have multiple moments of teaming up and working together, what an underrated duo
Hulk vs Iron Man suit inside an Iron Suit fight
The Avengers do their best to evacuate Sokovia before Ultron attacks, which does not excuse the amount of damage caused there, but I do think is a plot point everyone forgets about (myself included)
And things that annoy me (skipping over the stuff everyone talks about like the Natasha/Bruce plot):
I hate how Joss Whedon writes Steve, both here and in Avengers. He only feels like Steve when he's being given jokes, otherwise he is so self-serious and stiff, the core of Steve is his heart and it is nowhere to be found in this movie
The movie spends so long setting up character arcs that feel promising and have no payoff. What is the point of Laura telling Clint the Avengers need him if he's going to retire at the end of the movie. Steve has several references to finding home in a way that doesn't go anywhere (Until Endgame, I guess). Don't get me started on Natasha.
It's trying so hard to have a theme but it never says anything unique. Bruce, Tony, Natasha and Vision all refer to themselves as monsters. Ultron decides that the Avengers are the bad guys. Steve has a speech all about proving they're not the monsters Ultron says they are. Based on WHAT? What is the message of this movie?? That the Avengers are better than the evil AI who wants to kill everyone?
(I half-feel there was a previous draft where Clint was their heart, or something, or he died and they were like whelp Phil Coulson 2.0 let's go avenge him, and the random pieces of that are still floating around the script with nowhere to go)
NO ONE is remotely concerned enough when their friends are getting hurt (maybe just the hurt/comfort lover in me, but still.) Natasha comes across as the only person who cares when Clint sustains a life-threatening injury. No one seems to be bothered that Natasha is being held captive by a psychotic supervillain. Tony shows more emotion over a fictional future where they die than when someone is actually in danger.
They really could have a premise where they weren't allowed to access technology at all and could have gone retro with everything and they didn't and that just feels like a wasted opportunity. Clint and Natasha digging out old spy tech. Steve being like "Yes! This is familiar! I got this!" Tony making genius inventions out of tech from fifty years ago. Come on, it was right there.

cant wait to start categorizing every movie on earth as “starring Academy Award Winner Robert Downey Jr” and “regretfully not starring Academy Award Winner Robert Downey Jr”
That’s Oscar WINNER, to you. Congratulations, sir!
ouch
Angela Bassett giving the Critics' Choice Award to RDJ was not a combo I was expecting. Would love to see them together in something.
Alos RDJ's speech was perfect :-P
Seriously, the best acceptance speech giver.
"I was just thinking this morning; I love critics. It's all I think about. The Critics Choice Association, you know, they've given me such beautiful feedback. Really, just so many great moments and some of it so poetic."
Robert Downey Jr. at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards
Ha. I love this so much!
