Man you know marching band might have stolen four years of my life and I still have nightmares about it ten years later but

This song would make such a slapping percussion section warm-up oh my GOD

I wish I knew how to write music lol

All the parts are there!!! Pretty much

Like the marimba part would be the most complicated (but certainly not impossible for high schoolers) I think and idk if the snare stuff is easy or hard but it's already written in there as the typewriter and I lov e this song

Vibes/bells would have it pretty easy which is better for beginner players anyway

Idk about the rest though

Anyway just wanted to share ;-; I would send it to my old percussion instructor because he's a master at writing / transcribing but he ended up being a creepy PDF file :') rip

Is it just my band where the Percussionists are just a different breed? And I don’t mean it in a bad way. They have this beautiful chaotic energy. In my concert band, we had jokes about the percussion section were always at war with the themselves. During band practice, you’d just glance back at the percussion section and see the Timpani player attempting to choke the snare player. The kit player yeeting a cymbal cover at the cow bell played and finally the marimba/vibraphone player sleeping underneath the marimba.

Strings: Properly done up and worn like it should be

Woodwinds: Tucks the part that goes diagonally across your body under their arm

Brass: Takes the diagonal section and puts it behind their back

Percussion: Doesn't fear death so no seat belt

Bad ideas to do during marching band season

> get way too attached to the seniors

> only befriend juniors

> spend too much time with the wrong section (toxic sections are draining even if they’re your own section)

> focus on a persons section over their personality

> play risk with your instrument when it’s already broken

> interrupt the low brass in any way

> try to assert dominance over anyone

> get too attached to the show music

> invest your entire life into marching band
