So the TL;DR of it is that Ouroborus, the first dragon, was slain a long time ago, before the universe began. His body/spirit was shattered, and the pieces came to inhabit the descendants of Ouroborus. This piece is called The Touch, and anything that has it within them is called Touched.
There are different levels and types of Touched, depending on how the piece acts and what else is involved. Most dragons are called Awakened, meaning their piece is very active, and they’re very close to Ouroborus.
There are then these special pieces of Touch called the Trauns Fragments. There’s six of them, each with specific jobs, and they were created to be the rulers of all Touched. The LOAD is one of them, and is the main one, created to be the ultimate ruler. The rest were created to compliment and/or balance the LOAD.
