My last-minute fit-in appointment at the doctor’s went well. So apparently I have an inner ear infection and a perforated ear drum (no wonder I almost passed out when I put the ear drops in them that have isopropyl alcohol...). He says there shouldn’t be any lasting damage, at least, and he’s put me on two antibiotics. I’ll be seeing him again next week for my regular appointment, and we’ll check to see how it’s healing up.
I’m okay though! Pain’s died down since last night with the ear drops, and I haven’t been able to hear out my right ear for nearly two weeks, but I’m okay!

The weather is being weird again. It's going to get progressively warmer and windier as the night goes on - when I get up the temps should be in the upper 50's. My perforated ear drum is not is enjoying the changes in air pressure. My psoriatic arthritis is not enjoying this damp weather My psoriasis is flipping out because of the temperature swings. FFS can the weather the just chill out for a week or two? Is that too much to ask?
SURGERY!
Hero dere. I'm going under for surgery in the next hour for my ear drum to be reconstructed. Wish me luck and you're all rad :D
Just went a couple rounds at training...
Aaaaand I seem to have perforated my eardrum. Basically I have zero pressure in my right ear and can only hear mid to high pitches from it. If I hold my nose and try to do that thing where you ‘pop’ your ears it literally just sounds like theres air escaping through it. Oh and theres no blood/fluid or pain. Should I be going to my gp? tonight (its like 10pm it’d be after hours) or can it wait till tomorrow? Yes I understand the stupidity of asking the internet for advice on medical things but I have a few medblrs who I know follow me and might have something to add. Anyone have any experience on the subject?
