You can tell it’s been a good start to the day because all but two of these photos were taken this morning :)
I’m officially 24 weeks pergnant! (My gf shared this video with me yesterday and although I’d seen it before it’s dramatically funnier now that I’m actually prangent, especially if you watch the entire 2 minute video. Dying)
Also - apparently Erp reached her first viability milestone?! Crazy to think about that. But please, let’s not test this milestone.
This morning I woke up around 7 a.m. and got out of bed at 8, opened all the windows downstairs then hung out on the front porch holding Saki (who’s strictly an indoor cat) so we both could enjoy the outside experience. Cleaned up the kitchen (emptied the dishwasher, filled it, took the trash and recycling out) before making coffee.
On Monday at the grocery store I saw this new Reddi Wip Nitro coffee thingy and almost bought it but then decided against it. Turns out I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it!! So I picked it up last night and tried it this morning. It’s surprisingly really good!! Tastes like melted marshmallow submerged in coffee. The only problem is I wanted to dump the entire can into my cup and drink it all up. Moderation is not my strong suit. YUM.
This morning’s music was Kate Nash and The Kooks so I was twirling and frolicking about the house whilst feeling the outside air blow and smelling freshly brewed coffee. Glorious!
I finally brought my pumpkins outside and arranged them by the front door to complete my fall decorations. Then decided that since it’s a relatively nice day out (hotter than I’d like but at least it’s not stupid humid) I’d spend my time blogging on the front porch!
Yes, I still need to have Kevin re-hang the porch swing up that we took down for the storm two weeks ago.
Fresh air, cat love, warm coffee, good music and alone time - perfect recipe for a great morning! Happy Saturday to you!!
Time: You know that one time when no one died and Sam and Dean had free time and lived in the bunker. (In other words, I took my favorite setting and characters and put them together.)
A/N: Sorry for those with short/shorter hair, I just have long hair and went with that. Just simply change it your head. Again sorry. Also, I don’t normally write on this blog so follow @authorpersonhas1care for my writing. (I don’t have a consistent upload schedule, but requests are open.)
It was perfect. The forest in which the wedding was held was lit up with fairy lights, strung from tree to tree. Candles flickering in the evening light on stumps surrounding the arch. The arch was two trees that had started separately but ended entwined with each other as if the trees did not want to be separated any longer, and was draped with white tulle. A white aisle was set between the guest chairs. There weren’t many chairs as there weren’t many guests.
A wedding like this would cost some serious money. But a major pro with marrying an archangel was that he simply brought it all into existence. Bringing to life my dream wedding. Being a hunter left little time for a wedding, let alone a marriage or family. But apparently, I was going to be given what I wanted for once. Truly I didn’t need the fancy cake or party to be happy, but I wanted it so bad. And Gabriel had been more than happy to comply.
And another thing I couldn’t believe I would get to do during my life was getting married to the love of my life. Gabriel, my archangel. When he asked me to marry him I, at first, thought it was a joke. With his trickster background, it was possible. But when Gabriel assured me it was no trick, that he was sure he wanted to be married to me, sure he would be able to protect from heaven or hell, I broke down into tears, chanting yes as if that was the only word I knew. His smile was the widest and brightest I had ever seen. Or so I thought.
My dress what simple enough. It was off the shoulder with lace covering the bodice and acting as loose sleeves going slightly past my elbow. The skirt resembled a princess’ dress and was pure white. My hair was curled slightly and left to just flow freely. My makeup was done in a way to look natural. It was by all means to me, perfect. I had no father to walk me down the aisle, so Sam and Dean both gave me away. I swear they looked like they wanted to kill Gabriel. On the way to my journey with Gabriel, I swept the crowd to see who had made it. Bobby, Jo, Ellen, and Cas all sat in one row together. There were a couple others that had made it, but other than that, that all there was. It was fine. Hunting didn’t come with a surplus of friends. With Sam and Dean on either side of me, a white and gold bouquet in my hands, I finally looked up to my groom. He had the biggest smile on his face. Bigger than when I had said yes. And so I thought it was the biggest I had seen on him. And again I was wrong.
I was never one for tradition. I didn’t have time and I didn’t care. But I was stubborn. I was going to save the top tier of cake for the one year wedding anniversary. I was at least going to do that. And I momentarily forgot who I was marrying. An archangel with an addiction to sweets. After the wedding, I put the cake piece in the freezer. Correction the back of the freezer. And kept a neverending frozen pie wall up around it to keep Dean away from it.
It was a month after the wedding I was in the library reading a book Gabriel had picked up from a bookstore on one of his sugar runs. I was halfway through the third chapter when Gabriel walked up to me. He took a seat next to me, putting his arm on the back of my chair. I looked up briefly from the book and took a glance at him. He looked like he wanted to say something. Or was going to try and persuade me. Ever since he learned I had put a piece of the cake in the freezer, he kept trying to convince me to eat it. Of course, I kept saying no. “Need something?” I mumbled out. Gabriel seemed to think for a moment before taking my book and placing it on the table in front of me. “Hey! I don’t know what page I was on!” Gabriel gave out a chuckle. “Page 73, sweet girl.” He replied softly. “Now, how about we take out that cake.” He gave out a smile, a look of hope on his face. “It isn’t our first year wedding anniversary yet. You can wait.” I finished my sentence with a smile, kissed him on the cheek and went to go and pick up my book. “A month. A year. Same thing.” He shot back with a smirk. “Hmmm? How about no?” His smirk fell sightly. I let out a soft sigh. “How about we go and pick up a cake?” His smirk turned into a bright smile. He looked like an excited toddler who was told he could have another cookie. He pecked me on the lips and practically pulled me to the garage.
The day before our first year anniversary Gabriel was practically bouncing with excitement. It made me laugh at how easily he could be compared to a toddler. He kept saying that it was just the next day we could eat the cake. That it was close enough. I would laugh each time and respond with no. Gabriel would deflate but then a smile would appear on his face and he would continue on with his day.
The bunker was empty as Dean and Sam left on a hunt. Dean had said that he didn’t want to be anywhere near the happy couple on their anniversary. That we were bad enough on a normal day. I simply laughed while Gabriel put his arms around my waist and started to kiss my neck. Mostly to gross out Dean and Sam. Dean had replied with “My point exactly.” Castiel was busy with angel business. So it was just me and the love of my life. We spent the day simply watching movies and being near each other.
“What?” I mumbled out. Being awaken before your ready really isn’t fun. “Morning my love!” Gabriel responded with a bright smile on his face. I could see past him on the bedside table on his side was breakfast. Not just any breakfast, my favorite. Waffles, home cooked fries, and strawberries with hot chocolate. “I made you breakfast, sweetheart.” I gave a tired smile. “What time is it?” He seemed to fidget in his spot at that. I sat up and moved my back to be parallel with the headboard. He handed me the tray as he spoke, “12:01.” I let out a giggle. “Go and get it, you weirdo.” He gave me the brightest smile I had seen on him. Again I was wrong with that thought.
“D’you want any?” He asked once he got back, smile still apparent. “Save me at least a slice,” I responded. I was eating my breakfast. The cake could wait until after the heavenly breakfast. Gabriel gave a nod and cut a generous slice and put it on the plate next to the waffles. He sat next to me, back against the headboard eat his cake. Suddenly he put the cake down and pulled something out of his bedside drawer. “Here.” He said with a smile. It was a small box covered in white wrapping paper and a cream colored ribbon. “What is this?” I asked putting down my fork, taking the box. “A gift. Never seen one before?” His signature smirk appeared on his face. My smile grew. I took off the ribbon and tore off the paper. Inside was a black velvet box. I looked up to Gabriel, who was in the middle of bringing a fork with a piece of cake to his lips. “Go on, open it.” He encouraged. I looked down at the box and opened it. Inside was a necklace. It had a silver chain with a key and heart charm. The key was intricately decorated with many designs. But the heart was the true attraction to the necklace. Engraved onto the front side of the heart was ‘You hold the key to my heart’. I let out a gasp of awe. It was beautiful. “Thank you, Gabe.” I looked over to him. He had a smile on his face, cake gone, and leaned over and kissed me, slowly but yet passionately. We parted once I needed air. I took the necklace and set gently on the table next to me. I opened the drawer and took out a small box. “If we're giving presents already,” I started, but I couldn’t finish. I was overwhelmed with emotion. So I simply handed the box over to Gabriel. He looked at me concerned. I never started a sentence without finishing. Unless, of course, I forgot.
Gabriel looked at the box. It was plain white. He took the lid off, and inside was something he didn’t expect. It was a small white stick with a little window. In the window were two lines. He looked over to his wife. She was biting her lip in anticipation of his reaction. His smile grew. “You’re pregnant?” He whispered. She instinctively moved her hands to her stomach. “Yep,” she whispered so softly he barely heard her. He hugged her so tightly she couldn’t breathe. “Gabe, can’t breathe.” He let go immediately.
His smile was most definitely the brightest and biggest she had seen. And this time she was right.
A/N: Thanks to @sdavid09 for letting me adopt a plot bunny. Oh and I’m ignoring most Nephilim rules so bite me.
