Peridot redesign! Not as sure about my future redesign for her

This itself is kinda meant to be a one off thing. I did redesign garnet but I wasn’t too proud of how it came out (mainly the colors)

Maybe I’ll do gems like spinel or pearl in the future if I feel like it. But anyways onto the design explanation

Lapis- top is inspired by stevens shirt, the gloves and stockings are inspired by garnet, and the bow is inspired by pearl

Peridot- the shorts are a reference to the alien shorts she wore. The suspenders are inspired by her work on the farm. And finally the hair is star shaped

Some steven universe gem redesigns! These are just for fun and not in any way done to criticize the designs the show has. We have Pearl, Sapphire, and Peridot in that order.

Some tidbits about the designs:

Pearls do not “speak” normally, as they have no mouths. Rather, they produce prerecorded robotic speech from their gem.

Pearls always have their eyes closed, as to not see any secrets that could get out. Pearl herself finally opens her eyes as her last step to realizing she’s free

Pearl’s sword was her first actual possession, given to her by Rose. She always has it with her.

The crystal gem emblem changes from a star to a heart.

Sapphires float and never touch the ground

They do not talk with their eye mouths unless they are predicting a particularly nasty future they don’t like. Rather, they speak with a sort of telepathy.

Peridot’s face can be turned off. This makes her mute until she turns herself back on

Electricity keeps her gem afloat and keeps it from being grabbed by any assailants. 

She will always have the floating fingers, with there being no equivalent to her limb enhancers. 

This version of Peridot would have electricity generation instead of metal bending.

I’ll probably do more of these later (including the ones in my inbox) I just wanted to get these out there!

Here is a new Steven Universe OC! ♪ “Striped Peridot” is a free-to-use character I created for the french RP forum “Steven Universe RPG”, in order to help people who has no visual ideas for their characters. Thereby, I didn't think about a personality for this one, this will depend of its future player's choices.

redesign on peridot had she been one of the original crystal gems. lore under the cut:

-originally was Yellow Diamond’s peridot, but was sent to help oversee Pink’s kindergardens b/c she’s experienced and a very good kindergardener

-She’s never headed kindergarden creation before

-Seeing everything being destroyed to make gems first hand and at her command is too much for her

-It eventually is too much for her and she goes to see Pink to request for them to stop even though she’s sure it will get her decommissioned or labelled a traitor

-Pink Diamond has already been running around with Pearl at this point as Rose, so theres extra tension that makes her think she’ll be shattered

- Pink ofc doesn’t shatter her, she accepts her as part of her, garnets, and pearls rebellion

-she’s the serious one who’s always suggesting they shatter gems to get ahead and is very tactical

-pink always rejects her suggestions and is very concerned about them

-her and bismuth get along great
