April Days of Productivity 5/30
• finally meet my friends after months! (their exams are ending, we deserve this)
One April Intention checked out!
it was the four of us, finally meeting. i caught up with one of them on the way to the spot we picked, and we waited around, filling time with reading the poems she wrote, and easy conversation until the others arrived. we seated ourselves and placed orders, then the chatter took over. we talked, reminisced, laughed loud and free. it was one of those moments when nothing else mattered except being together ^_^
An unexpected gift found its way to me by my friend. a small, burnt-edged letter, quiet and deeply thoughtful, the kind that settles heavily in your chest (i teared up and had to stop myself because she, the precious sweetheart, does not like it when i cry, even if they were technically happy tears). then i opened the wrapping of the package and it left me actually speechless… it was a dual tip marker set!! i can't put into words how much i loved her in that moment. it's such a beautiful feeling to be known when you're loved, as the "artist of the group" i loved that she got me something I'll remember her by whenever i use it 💚💚
i wanted them to leave something behind in my sketchbook, but it turned messy in the most unexpectedly chaotic way—one marker leaked! ink stains on hands, on tables, on the floor. we all burst out laughing; my friend who picked the marker just put her head on the table in misery. we assured her, fixed what we could and moved on like it was always meant to belong there in that moment
the day wandered. quiet parks, stray sunlight, shifting shade under trees. conversations stretched, softened, deepened. time felt both slow and fleeting
eventually, it ended the way good days do, with hugs that linger and where you're not the first to let go 🌼
the walk back home was calm, almost like a continuation. the air changed, the sky softened and everything felt lighter. nothing extraordinary, but somehow everything was <3
