Stylish revision. Sleek steel tubing edges this deck giving it a contemporary look and drawing the eye to the triangular sitting areas. The redwood floorboards were screwed in place from underneath for a smooth, fastener-free finish.

I am SO PSYCHED!!!! My pheasant eye daffodils have produced a bloom! This variety dates from 1831, but resembles ancestors recorded as early as 1600. Portland, OR is a little north of its preferred range, so I got these bulbs with the understanding they might struggle. But here we have a beautiful flower, so all three of the heritage daffodils I have bloomed :)

(Yes, I am a huge native plant advocate, but I also have a big soft spot for really old daffodil lineages.)

Transplanted 4 blackberry and 4 blueberry bush starts. They look good! I'll start slowly exposing them to the sun and outside in a few weeks. Its too early here in Wyoming for anything to go out doors yet, by at least a month!

I'm starting to get that spring time itch!!!
