Devotional Acts for Persephone

This is a personal list of my small devotional acts. Some may not apply to or be possible for everyone!

- Create a butterfly garden in your backyard! - Create a bee garden in your backyard! - Go on a nature hike and photograph or draw the flowers and plants you encounter. Bring your images home and try to identify each one! - Spend time outside and soak up some sunshine (don’t forget to wear sunscreen!).  - Collect flowers and make your own flower crown. - Visit a cemetery/graveyard and leave fresh flowers on old graves. - Wear floral perfume or use rosewater (it’s excellent for your skin). - Take a bath with a satchet of dried roses and lavender. - Carry rose quartz in your pocket for self love. - Do a self love spell or ritual. - Keep a gratitude journal. - Make prints using fresh flowers! (Click here for a tutorial!) - Preserve flowers or plants using resin, wax, pressing or drying methods. - Visit botanical gardens, arboretums, or butterfly gardens. - Grow your own herbs (such as lavender or mint) and use them in potions and spells.  - Build a bat house. - Write poetry about the seasons. - Sweeten your tea with honey. - Support local beekeepers and buy honey at a farmer’s market.  - Do yoga to build your strength. - Take self defense classes. - Write a list of things you love about yourself. - Write a list of your strengths.  - Take yourself out on a date! You could go to lunch, see a movie, watch the clouds, buy yourself something for self care, or even visit the park or go for a walk!
