The Sorrowful Truths of Your Heros
It really sucks to find out that one of the first people to ever make your existence feel okay turns out to be bad. Especially when your bias is relentlessly trying to convince you that they're not.
I don't know this person, I have limited information on this person, and it's been years since it was brought to light. Only now did I decide to look into it and I so desperately want to defend them but I can't justify their wrongdoings.
I see bits of myself in them. I see bits of those who were close to me in my past in them. And I see the possibility, of this person that I had once looked up to, being no different from the one person in my life who caused me the most anguish and suffering. The worst is that I'll never know. Even if they were to reappear and explain, I have no trust in them anymore.
It hurts.
They made me feel like I could exist as myself in this world at a time in my life that made me think otherwise. And now I can't trust their words. I learned good lessons from someone who might be a bad person, and it hurts so much.
Though calling him a hero is false. I just wanted a good title. He never did anything heroic other than making me feel at home for a moment in time on this plane of existence. Now I can do that for myself. I hope I can one day do it for others. I hope I can take the good things I learned from all the bad people and do good with them.
Bruce Lee and Ozzy Osbourne are my two biggest idols. That should tell you most of what you need to know about me

"You can not let a fear of failure, or a fear of comparison, or a fear of judgement stop you from doing what's going to make you great. You can not succeed without this risk of failure. You can not have a voice without the risk of criticism, and you can not love without the risk of loss. You must go out and you must take these risks. Everything I am truly proud of in this life has been a terrifying prospect to me."
