Men of science!
Of all the stuff I've done and the shit I've lived through this year, I have to say that two of the things I'm proudest of is creating my the millenial experience and All Your Faves Are Bi playlists. The first one saw me through a lot of angst and anger this year, and the second reminded me that I'm a rockstar and a badass bi woman and can do whatever and BE whatever I set my mind to.

Honestly I'm so much happier knowing that I'm aroace
That there's a word for something that I felt for so long. It's been three years since I learned that I was Ace and it's only been a few months that I started to identify as Aro as well (though I knew for much longer). One good thing that came out of this bullshit discourse, is that I started to embrace my acearo identity fully, I came out to more people and online. I became more active in the LGBTQ club on campus. I joined ace groups on Facebook. I went to pride for the first time! And what I've experienced is a loving and accepting community that I am proud to participate in And all I want is for my fellow aces and aros is to feel as happy with themselves as I do. It's hard to love ourselves as we are, but we can't change who we are. Embracing my aroace identity fully and completely has been so freeing. It is scary and it can be lonely, but we are on this journey together and although it is hard sometimes, I love myself and I love being aroace and I hope someday you do to Until then I am here for you
Personal pride, day 4: Sunday art class. Today we’re learning about pride flags. It hasn’t even started yet and I’ve already been ranted at by a random person who wandered in off the street. She didn’t even have kids. Just wanted to yell at me.
Personal pride, day 14: Someone complimented my hair clip and I said, “Thanks, it’s my girlfriend’s.” Idk, it just feels really good to be able to say that out loud after being afraid my whole life.
Personal pride, day 12: A further list of my life goals circa 1993.
- Become paleontologist. Wear khaki shorts and hiking boots every day. Live and work in the desert.
- Also get a cool leather jacket.
- Hold hands with a lady as pretty as Laura Dern.
- Have Jeff Goldblum hold my hand, and call it a perfect hand.
- Come up with a line even a fraction as cool as, “Dinosaurs eat man, woman inherits the earth.”
- Simultaneously be and date both Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Ian Malcolm.
Bonus: Climb an electric fence. Jump off just before the power comes back on.
