Hello 👋, I just had to the cutest idea for the wuwa men, what if the reader has a puppy and it absolutely adores the wuwa men, will literally go crazy because it's so happy to see him.

A Little Storm of Energy

The sound of hurried paws against the floor echoed through the halls as you barely had time to react before your puppy launched itself toward Xiangli with an excited yip. The moment it saw him, its tail wagged so fiercely that its entire body wiggled along with it.

Xiangli barely had a second to brace himself before the enthusiastic ball of energy jumped up against his leg, pawing at his coat as if trying to climb up to him. He blinked in surprise, adjusting his glasses as he crouched down, allowing the puppy to reach his hands.

"Ah, you're quite the energetic one," he mused, his normally composed voice holding a faint trace of amusement. His fingers gently scratched behind the puppy's ears, earning a delighted whine as it eagerly leaned into his touch.

You couldn’t help but laugh at the sight—your reserved, intellectual partner being absolutely adored by a tiny creature who seemed to think he was the greatest person in existence. "I think it’s safe to say you've gained a new fan," you teased.

Xiangli let out a small chuckle, his fingers running absently through the puppy’s fur. "It’s rather unexpected," he admitted, watching as the little creature happily rolled onto its back for belly rubs. "I don’t think I’ve ever had such an enthusiastic greeting before."

The puppy squirmed and wiggled, making delighted noises every time Xiangli's hand moved. You swore it was grinning. "Maybe it can sense your kindness," you suggested, watching how gently he interacted with it.

He hummed thoughtfully, then glanced at you with a soft smile. "If only all discoveries were this straightforward," he remarked, his eyes reflecting quiet amusement. "It seems like your puppy has already reached a definitive conclusion about me."

You grinned. "And what's that?"

"That I am someone worth trusting," he said simply, as the puppy happily licked his hand.

And really, who were you to argue?

You barely had time to react before your puppy spotted Jiyan and absolutely lost all sense of restraint. A flurry of paws and excited barking later, it was already launching itself toward him with all the force its little body could muster.

Jiyan, ever composed, merely raised an eyebrow as the puppy skidded to a stop in front of him, practically vibrating with excitement. He crouched slightly, tilting his head as if assessing the tiny creature bouncing at his feet.

"It seems... excited," he observed dryly.

"Excited is an understatement," you laughed, watching as the puppy pawed at his boots, yipping in sheer delight. "I think it’s trying to say it loves you."

Jiyan let out a quiet breath—something between a sigh and a chuckle—before finally relenting and extending his hand. The moment his fingers brushed the puppy's fur, it let out an ecstatic noise and immediately flopped over, exposing its belly in total surrender.

A soft, almost imperceptible smile crossed Jiyan’s face as he ran his fingers over its soft fur. "You're an odd little thing," he murmured, though there was no real bite to his words. The puppy, clearly unfazed by his serious demeanor, squirmed in delight, tail wagging so hard that it thumped against his leg.

You smirked. "I think you've just been adopted."

Jiyan cast you a glance, his eyes calm yet warm. "I suppose I should feel honored," he said, lightly scratching the puppy's belly.

"Of course," you grinned. "Not just anyone gets the puppy’s ultimate seal of approval."

He let out a soft chuckle, shifting to pick up the puppy and hold it up slightly. The little creature merely wagged its tail harder, licking at his chin before nuzzling against him. Jiyan exhaled, a quiet surrender to the affection.

"...It seems I have little choice in the matter," he admitted, and you couldn't help but think that, perhaps, the fearsome General had just found his tiniest and most devoted soldier.

It all happened in the blink of an eye—one second, your puppy was beside you, and the next, it had spotted Yuanwu and was off like a shot, yipping with uncontainable joy.

You barely had time to call out before it reached him, practically bouncing on its paws in excitement. Yuanwu, ever the composed gentleman, paused in his movements, looking down at the excitable little creature with a raised brow.

"Well now," he murmured, amused, as the puppy happily pawed at his leg. "A little storm of energy, aren’t you?"

You jogged up, out of breath. "Sorry, I don’t know why, but it’s absolutely obsessed with you."

Yuanwu merely smiled, crouching down to properly greet his unexpected admirer. The moment his large hands reached out, the puppy practically melted under his touch, rolling onto its back and squirming as if it had just discovered heaven.

You watched in amazement. "I’ve never seen it react like this before."

Yuanwu chuckled, his deep voice gentle as he continued scratching the puppy’s belly. "Animals have a way of sensing intent," he said simply. "Perhaps it knows I mean no harm."

The puppy yipped, licking at his hand before nuzzling into his touch. Yuanwu let out a soft hum of amusement, his blue-crystal-marked fingers moving with practiced care, as if soothing an old friend rather than a creature he had just met.

"I think you might be its new favorite person," you teased.

Yuanwu tilted his head, considering, before offering a warm smile. "An honor I do not take lightly," he said, eyes crinkling at the corners. He gave one last fond pat to the puppy’s head before standing. The little creature whined in protest, pawing at his coat as if pleading for more.

With a good-natured chuckle, Yuanwu glanced at you. "It seems I have a very persistent admirer," he mused.

You grinned. "Guess that means you’ll just have to visit more often."

He chuckled, glancing down at the puppy, which was still looking up at him with absolute adoration. "It would seem so," he agreed.

And as the puppy let out one last happy bark, you couldn't help but think that maybe, just maybe, Yuanwu had found himself a new little apprentice in the ways of patience and kindness.

Just remembered a time where I was younger, and dumber, and first heard that saying sk*nwalker(censored just in case) out loud would draw them to you. I started saying it repeatedly, got to three times, and my cat jumped up onto the headboard of my bed at that exact moment.

I was laying in the dark at the time. It scared the life out of me and I'm pretty sure I had a nightmare that night.

Anyways, I can imagine one of the crew in a modern httyd doing that exact same thing and having their respective creature nearly give them a heart attack. Or maybe Viggo doing it, or the viking age equivalent, and getting scared by a Terrible Terror.

I took a puppy with me to pick black raspberries and at first she was NOT into it

But then her little puppy brain did the food math after I put one of the berries in my mouth

… then it was a race to see who could get the berries faster.

Hear me out. Izuku and Shigaraki = dog people. Toga and Touya = cat people. Their futures = endless fighting over who has the best pets.

Izuku and Shigaraki= dog people (Shigaraki likes dogs in canon and I think Izuku would like dogs too)

Touya and Shouto= cat people (Shouto has been drawn with cats like 2 or 3 times now, and I feel like Touya would prefer a low maintenance pet)

Toga and Ochacko= BIRD people (Toga's been associated with birds, Ochacko can make herself fly, it just fits)

Now, all 6 of them argue over who has the best pets.
