🧿Lay to Rest spell jar🧿

around 8 months ago, my beautiful, 14-year-old dog had to be put down. a year before that, my cockatiel drew his final breath in my cupped hands. because of these losses, i had made a few spell jars, one for each pet, and i want to share this jar to anyone who needs it. blessed be ❤️🔮🌙

needed for spell jar:

jar/bottle of any size

lavender (calmness, love, happiness)

cayenne (strength, protection)

cinnamon (safety, protection)

salt (protection against evil, cleansing)

taglock (optional)

rose quartz (love, peace, compassion, happiness)

amethyst (protection, healing, calming)

selenite (positive energy, healing)

steps:

1. cleanse your space and jar, call upon any deities/spirits and speak to your lost pet(s).

2. add the herbs/spices, taglock (if you have one), and any crystal chips. i surrounded my jar with the crystals listed above while adding the ingredients. 

3. end the spell by capping/corking off the jar, pouring wax over the top, and saying some final words to your lost loved ones. 

my jars are displayed on my alter, next to my Bast statue and i often talk to my pets, visit their graves, and talk about the good times i’ve had with them. for an extra oomf, i places the same crystals mentioned above by their graves for general protection and to show that my love is never ending.

Spell for a Pet’s Passing

Recently, one of my childhood cats had passed away. She was older, and although her death was saddening, we all knew it was time. To help ease the pain of her loss, give her guidance into the next life, and have some closure, I made a spell/ritual to help with this.

Supplies

Rosemary essential oil

Sandalwood essential oil

Moon water

Diffuser

Stone to represent your pet

Candle

4 daffodils

Directions

Gather your supplies and ground yourself.

Put the moon water in the diffuser. Add a few drops of sandalwood and rosemary and turn on the diffuser.

Place the stone in front of you, and place daffodils around the four corners of the stone.

Pick up the stone and hold it in your palms. During this time, speak to your pet. Talk about all the fond memories you had with them and how you will miss them dearly. My cat wasn’t euthanized, but if your pet was, tell them why you made that decision.

Put the stone back, and light your candle. Grab the stone again and carefully hold it over the flame. 

Recite: This candle represents (Pet’s name) and all those who passed before them. As I light this candle, (Pet’s name) will feel the warmth of the flame, giving them ease, comfort, and peace as they pass on into the next life. And when my time comes, I hope to meet them there again.

Place the stone back, and meditate on your feelings. Let any emotion(s) you’re having come and go, without shame or judgement.

When you are ready, blow out the candle, and let the diffuser run for as long as you wish. Keep the stone in a safe place, or put it somewhere you deem meaningful.

Food magic for pets

Full spell rewritten under cut for accessibility

A bit of kitchen magic for our pets since many ingredients in our food are potentially dangerous for pets, making it unwise to mix extra things like herbs into their food. We can, however, project energy into the food to charge it with the desired quality.

If it's moist food, a sigil can be traced in with a knife or fork, sending energy through it into the meal.

If it's dry kibble, the symbol can be traced onto the bowl before adding the food, so that the energy is absorbed into it as it's being eaten.

Sigil: this pet doesn't panic during storms

aka "i didn't get to bed till 2 AM but my dog woke me up at 2:30 because she had a terrible time with a storm".

This is meant to supplement the usual things you do to soothe your pet during a storm, not replace them. It kept mine calm enough her usual routine made her fall asleep almost immediately (at least one of us actually got some lol).

Charge by tracing it onto your pet with a finger then petting them, activate with a kiss.

Hey there my witches, sunchild here... I'm not in a great place right now to be honest. Mi oldest dog, Casu, who has been with me for the past 13 years is ill.

My parents are both vets and they're not so optimistic about this... so, since I can't do much, I'll be with her and I'll cast this spell I just made:

A green candle and a blue one for health, and a green-blue sigil with black details right in the middle of three amethysts. The sigil means health, life and protection.

I was thinking about Casu being happy, running and begging me to rub her tummy while I made it... I already placed it beside her for a while and then burned it.

All I hope is that she gets better or goes without suffering... if you could send to me kind words or good vibes I'd appreciate it. Thank you...

does anyone know of a spell to summon/bring a cat into your life? I have a literal ball of shed hairs of the cat I want, and I’ve scrounged up $120/$135 (for the adoption fee).
