Hey everyone.......

So.... I have an announcement.....

It's... Not a happy one.

My dog, Stormy, is..... Going to be going through surgery because of a large pus bubble in her stomach....

And....

There's a high chance she won't survive due to how small she is....

I'm not posting this for sympathy or views....

I just..... I'm just posting this to get my feelings out.....

I have hope that she survives... Stormy has always been a tough old lady of a dog.

I'll post something for when I get further news...

In case anyone was curious what surgical stitching looks like in a bird, pics under the cut (not particularly graphic but just to be safe)

The vet who did this part of the operation (under the supervision of my usual avian vet, who is semi-retired and probably less dexterous these days) did a fantastic stitching job, I'm incredibly impressed she was able to get it all done in under 30 minutes.

hey everyone, it’s been a while!

i will get straight to it! noodles needed urgent surgery after being caught on some barbed wire and sadly we didn’t have the money for the surgery just lying around and i’ve had to take out a really high interest payment plan with our vet.

i am so stressed over the entire situation that i can’t sleep. my credit is so already in the toilet and im terrified that my family won’t keep up with the loan payments to help me. (recently found out my sister took out multiple credit cards in my name and it’s just one thing after another)

if anyone wants to contribute to my helping me get this paid off asap i would really appreciate it — i know times are tough — so i understand if no one has anything to spare. i’m just in a really tough spot.

i will share photos under a cut as it’s a pretty bad wound and don’t want anyone squeamish to feel poorly.

the vet told me that steve has a kink or something in his urethra, so he's unable to pass urine beyond a dribble (like when you fold over a garden hose). the surgery he needs is called a perineal urethrostomy, which makes it so urine leaves the body before it reaches the kink/narrow part (ike cutting just above the fold in a garden hose).

it is expensive, but it is the cure for his issues, and he's my world. i'm going to do this one way or another, but it's going to be a hell of a lot.

i would be very grateful if anyone can spare anything, as i'm currently not working and relying only on disability benefits. reblogs would also be appreciated.
