A peel off face mask when you have low platelets is not a good idea. I have petechia all over my face now 😂 whoops.
this is what i mean when i say “choke me harder”😵💫
petechia replied to your post: “It took me 2.5 hours to get home. For reference it usually takes…”:
Omg dude you should have sent me a text I could have grabbed you!
You wouldn’t have wanted me anywhere near you. Was such a fucking bitch until I got a few hard ciders in. Threatening to suplex everyone lol
What is a petechia?
is a small (1 - 2 mm) red or purple spot on the skin.
when you press it...it does NOT blanch.
The most common cause of petechiae is through physical trauma such as a hard bout of coughing, vomiting or crying, which can result in facial petechiae, especially around the eyes. Petechiae in this instance are harmless and usually disappear within a few days.
So if you have a kid with vomiting and petechia but clinically looks well has no fever and normal WBC count. That kid is probably safe for discharge.
does anyone know how to get rid of petechia??? i have several red dots on my body (one on my nose, one on my finger, and two on my chest) that are really annoying. they don't itch and they're not swollen, just little red dots as big as a needle point. any help or suggestions would be appreciated!!!! ?
