I was being lazy and didn't want to draw Peter for some reason, now that I've doodled this, I kinda wanna draw him more🥹✌️

watching the original heathers movie for the like 12th time instead of packing and I just got to chandler’s funeral

one thing I find super interesting about their little thingie where they talk above her dead body with the priest in the back (idk what its called, I know nothing abt religion) is not just what they talk about but where they look while talking

heather mcnamara looks right at chandlers face before closing her eyes and then looking up at the mention of heaven at the end. hers is the most heartfelt and sincere out everyones, and she is also the most still movement wise. she briefly brings up how she has a hard time dealing with these things and is the only one to wish something positive upon heather in a non joking manner.

peter also focuses on her face before shifting the her bouquet and then appears to space out while looking down. he looks to the side while he prays for his own college acceptance before looking down again. his choice to pray for his own selfish desires rather than chandlers is evident in his body language, as he moves often.

ram starts out looking before looking down at her body after calling her a hot snatch. he looks back up and then to the side during his justification of the joke. he glances back down not at heathers face and closes his eyes while doing a hail mary and then looks out at the audience as he’s says “pray for all the sinners, so we don’t get caught.” ram also moves a bunch, especially during his jokes.

heather duke glances at chandlers face, looks down as she speaks about praying for her death, but then looks back at her face as she says she feels bad. she looks back down, smiling to herself and then out at the audience, smiling to them as she says her “praise jesus, hallelujah!” hers is the most interesting to me because she looks at heathers face, not her body like most of the others. I think another reason she smiles is because she believes heathers death to be self inflicted, a suicide.

veronica spends most of her time looking at heathers body after glancing at her face. she starts with a greeting, as if to a friend, maybe to chandler before beginning her actual prayer thing. she looks up during her justification of heathers death. she ends with an amen before looking up, and wondering if it sounded bitchy. she is the only one who prays who knows what actually happened and that heather did not die by her own hands, so she spends hers talking about her involvement in chandlers death.

god I love the acting in this movie and how every little movement can tell you something about a character. my analysis might be dogshit but I loooooove going over scenes like this just to see actors movement.
