THE DARK WIZARD follows the life of climber Dean Potter, who pushed the limits of what was possible as an athlete, climber, and BASE-jumper. It's a stunning showcase of documentary filmmaking.

Aquaman Villains - Scavenger
Still on that Aquaman shit.
Aquaman's rogues, to me, are one of the most underappreciated in comics, and that needs to change. He's got a great set of villains that really cover a diverse range of villainy. I spent a couple days really trying to decide which villain to start with, and settled on my boy Peter Mortimer.
I think its interesting how, after Black Manta and Ocean Master, there's a HUGE drop off for Aquaman villain popularity/usage in stories. Scavenger is probably like number 3 or 4 in Aquaman's rogues, but he still barely ever shows up. I loved that he was brought back in the New 52/rebirth era. And I especially love his redesign. It was so classic supervillain looking, the colors were great, and the character designer (I think it was Paul Pelletier who was responsible for his new look but don't quote me on it) really pulled some visual cues from his classic look which I appreciate so much! Little characters like this often get no respect when it comes to their past, but the saw tooth helmet window has become HIS look and I love that he can have that! His second mech suit look was fine, and still harkened back to his OG design, but the blue and purple dive suit was just too good. I really didn't do any redesigning from this first New 52 look because I love it so much, it works so well as an iconic look, and it will likely go down as his definitive look till the end of time! But who knows, maybe someone else will come along and one up it, which I can always hope for.
Also I love his little cameo in what I believe was Forever Evil where he was joining the new Injustice League. Someone out there has a soft spot for Scavenger, and I appreciate you.

Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom Conspiracy Board
So I DO have a lot of theories here, some interconnected and some not, but first I have to explain the conspiracy behind a chunk of my conspiracy board. And I'm not (ALWAYS) super up-to-date on information, so some of this probably has contradictory information out there somewhere.
#95: The Alpinist (2021, dir. by Peter Mortimer & Nick Rosen)
The Alpinist
Recensie The Alpinist ★★★1/2 - vanaf 17-2 in de bioscoop Verwacht hoogtevrees en verwacht kriebels in je buik in een verhaal over de eigenzinnige alpinist Marc-André. Maar waar stopt dit?
De documentaire The Alpinist gaat over alpinist Marc-André. (more…)
