Trigger Warnings: Child Death

On August 3, 1762, Eleanor went into labor, about a month earlier than had been expected.

Charley, panicking, called for Isaac, who panicked some more. (You would think after 5 kids these guys would be better at this, huh?) It was Xan who ran for the doctor and Rose who held her step-mother's hand.

After several long hours, Peter George Tate was born. He was a small thing, and pitifully weak. The doctor said it was likely he would die within a week.

When that week passed and Peter was still alive, Eleanor felt herself starting to hope. Maybe her son would be alright, after all.

Unfortunately, not too soon after, Peter grew weaker and weaker and passed away on August 18, two weeks and a day old.
