The first episode of the long running series Red Dwarf first aired on Febuary 15, 1988. The episode titled "The End" set up the series. Crew member Dave Lister (Craig Charles) was placed in suspended animation for illegally smuggling a cat aboard the ship Red Dwarf. When he was revived, he discovered that he was in animation for up to 3 million years and everyone had been wiped out from a radiation leak. The only ones to keep him company were the ships AI called Holly (Norman Lovett), a hologram of his annoying bunkmate Arnold Rimmer (Chris Barrie) and an ancestor of his cat that had evolved into a humanoid (Danny John-Jules). Armand Petersen (1891-1969).
