Is there any piece of Portal lore that you can't wrap your head around? Like, something that's irreparably part of the canon but is inconsistent with everything else?

A few months ago I would’ve said Portal 1 lore, but now I know better owning the Portal 2 Official Guide and having an officially approved resource that updates all that sweet old 2006/2007 lore that fits with Portal 2’s lore better.

Nowadays though? I hate the Multiverse for the headaches it’s given me, I cannot even begin saying how many times I’ve had to explain to people that, as paradoxical as it sounds, the Multiverse is not canon to Portal in any capacity besides the ingame Puzzle Editor which itself has dubious canonicity. I’m glad it exists because it means I can safely disregard stuff like Aperture Desk Job as being strictly non-canon multiverse shenanigans, but at the same time it brings up so many questions it was literally better to just declare it non-canon.
