Good luck with your exams!!! And unrelated but birb tax please?
Thank you so much! What do you mean by "birb tax"? 🙃
Kid Claude!!!
He's precious. I promise I will draw him when I finish all my exams for this semester. 🤞
#Please little bird
I love that the modern-day tumblr post equivalent of chain emails only requires me to reblog a relatively pleasant image instead of forward an email to a bunch of my friends and family members to quell my raging anxiety.
It’s a win win. I get a bit of hope, you get a cute birb photo
✨️ Twinkle twinkle little star, how the hell you draw an arm ✨️
I'm collecting them like pokemon
I go to youtube. Cute animal videos are AI now. I go to instagram. There are AI influencers. I go to spotify. It's flooded with AI bands and music. I go to ebay. Every product is AI. I open netflix. Every movie has AI. I watch TV. All commercials are AI. I cancel all my suscriptions. The customer support is AI. I buy a book. It is written by AI. I talk to my friends. They tell me that AI is their new therapist. I take the subway. Some dude is talking to his AI girlfriend next to me. I go to the beach. The sunset is real. I take a pic and upload it. The photo is enhanced with AI. You can't opt out.
Reblogs in a chain now get their own notes
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.
This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!
It’s very clear that you all have strong feelings about Tumblr and about this change. We hear you. The passion people have for how Tumblr works is one of the things that makes this place special.
As this rolls out over the next few days and you explore it, we’ll keep reading your replies and reblogs, so please keep sharing your questions, concerns, and ideas.
Your creativity has always been the heart of Tumblr, whether you’re the original poster or adding something brilliant in the reblogs, and nothing about this change is meant to limit that.
If you’d like to talk directly beyond the comments, leave a reply and we’ll follow up with as many of you as we can. We want to work with you to make Tumblr better.
hey folks do we like this. reblog without commentary for reach
do we want this?
yes
no
maybe i like my tech a little bit inconvenient
maybe i like pulling out my debit card instead of using apple pay. maybe i like untangling my wired headphones. maybe i like typing something into the search bar instead of using siri or whatever. maybe i like curating my own social media feeds over an algorithm. i just don’t think everything has to be perfectly streamlined and efficient i like it when things feel tethered to the real world.
i just can't convey the frustration and sorrow that it's been to grow up at first without the internet and then watching it bloom into this useful, fun, connecting force you sometimes spent time on, only for it to degrade into this constant oppressive waste of time and energy where people are constantly pumping out algorithmically designed content for max algorithmic appeal and even the most simple search generates either no results or an infinite abyss of ai generated slop none of which is usable or correct. we briefly had a library of alexandria and then fed it into a paper shredder so advertisers could sell a random mash of pulp back to us at a premium.
Hi! How go things? And how is birb? I hope you're doing well and having fun with your studies!
Hi! I'm doing well, though I'm super busy. Basically, I'm an office worker by day and a university student at night. The first semester went unexpectedly well, so I have high hopes for the rest. Birb is doing great, he's just learnt to say "I love you". 🥺 I miss drawing and I still love Fire Emblem, but I prefer spending time with birb or watching a movie whenever I have a little free time.
I hope I can get back to drawing in summer break, though. So yeah, I'm doing pretty great atm, thank you for asking dear Anon! I hope you're doing well too. ☺
there's just not enough time in the day for video games. even when I want to play them and dont have anything else going on I still don't end up playing them. this is because there's actually only four hours in the day and nobody is talking about this

Yes, I'm getting one as a gift for someone.
No, but a relative/friend already owns a Switch 2 and I can borrow it from them.
No, because it's too expensive.
No, because there aren't any games for the Switch 2 I'm interested in.
No, because I own a different console / I'm a PC gamer.
Not sure.
Can you please help me by voting at this poll and then reblogging it, so more people will see and vote? I'll analyize the results and use them in a paper for university.
Thank you so much for voting and sharing, everyone! I will use the results of this poll to analyze consumer behavior. I didn't expect so many votes. Wow! Thank you! 💛
I got an A on the paper. Many thanks to everyone who voted and I'm super grateful to everyone who shared their opinions in the tags or in the reblogs. I read them and they were very insightful. You guys really helped me out. Thank you!
It's my 14 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳
