I was getting comfortable with the idea of tarot, and was pretty new to the idea of Lenormand decks, BUT THEN I came across the Petit Etteilla deck, which is really the ancestor of Lenormand. But the way how the original author ascribe meanings to ordinary piquet decks make me want to do a petit etteilla deck.
Petit Etteilla kicking some butt this week in the run up to the workshop next week - check out the @worlddivination online course if you want to read these beauties like a pro #petitetteilla #lenormand #kipper #kippercards #tarot #spiritual #guidance #spirit #reading #kipperkarten #divination #cartomancy #tarotreadersofinstagram #oracle #kipperdeck #fortunetelling #lenormandcards #deck #tarotreading #tarotcards #worlddivination #lenormanddeck #fortuneteller #oraclecards #lenormandcard #wahrsagekarten #lenormandreadersofinstagram @diseuse_de_bonne_aventure https://www.instagram.com/p/Bn8xCpwARSe/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=794lidxdz1q8
When I was making this deck, I thought, the mafia probably worships luck a lot and so I made the club into a 4 leaf clover. I had a lot of fun making this deck, partially because it was from a series of random ideas leading to more random ideas and I found myself the pleasure of copying and pasting similar elements all throughout the deck. I might make another petit etteilla deck in the future. Let’s see where all these card making adventures take me.
It was through the process of making this deck that I realised I really like condensed fonts. I was hunting for fonts for a totally different project, but then I came across Decalotype and I saw how it was perfect for this deck. Also, I’m a sucker for free fonts that have a large family. It makes playing with type weights way easier.
