➤ during a liveshow, while they’re playing some game like overcooked and phil just says “babe!” loud because they were having a soft romantic day hours before and even tho he’s mad dan made them lose, he loves the boy too much. he almost misses the incredulous look dan is giving him. “oh shoot” is all he thinks.

➤ editing a video, smiling softly as he watches dan complain about how he almost fell off because of phil’s hair straightener that was on the floor in the middle of their room. “their”, dan said. phil bites his bottom lip, he’s so glad dan isn’t scared of saying things like that when the camera is on. if somehow that leaks, they will just deal with it, they’re not so scared anymore. part of phil hopes they’re finally getting ready to come out. he hears dan call him from the kitchen. he cuts that bit.

➤ of course someone else is going to out them. caspar and his terrible habit of vlogging everything. dan sighs while he watches caspar’s new vlog and in the background, kinda blurry but obviously dan and phil giggling and kissing each other’s noses. drunkeness and love making them so happy but so dumb. phil looks at him and shrugs. “want to buy a pizza?”

➤ dan is on tumblr, he sees a cute phanart, the caption is: “dan is enamored of his man, isn’t he?”. dan reblogs it and adds: “i really really am”.

➤ dan is watching the final version of their new gaming video. he spent hours editing it because their computer froze a lot and he just wanted to go to bed and cuddle with his boyfriend. they’re answering a quiz in the video when phil says: “i like our new bed, it’s better than the old one.”. dan finishes watching it and decides that tomorrow he’ll upload it. he goes to their bedroom and almost jump on their bed, and phil was right. it’s a really good bed.

➤ “are you cutting this?”, dan asks and phil frowns, confused to why wouldn’t he. dan is literally giving him a kiss on the cheek and calling him “so cute”. it’s not exactly a proof, but they’re dan and phil and their fans would never let it go. “maybe... just don’t cut it? it’s a cute part, i’m sure everyone will appreciate it.”. phil looks at his boyfriend, who is looking down. phil takes a deep breath, feeling his eyes water a little bit. 9 years. finally.

I've always had this like image in my head of dan wrapping his blanket around his shoulders and scurrying into Phil's room in the middle of the night when he's sad or thinking too much and just can't seem to shut his brain off. and he'd just stand in the doorway and look at phil like :c until Phil just lifts his blanket as an invitation for Dan to come cuddle then he immediately falls asleep clinging to Phil like a lifeline

Daniel Howell, when little, had to have his pacifier. Hell, when Dan wasn’t little and he was panicked, he had his paci. It was a comfort thing for Dan, and without it- everyone who was around him had better be ready for complete hell. Dan, with his oral fixation, had to be sucking on something. He didn’t mind if it was Phil’s cock, his paci, or a sucker. Currently, Dan was amidst a punishment. His daddy had taken his pacifier from him for making a mess in his panties (it wasn’t his fault, Dan would protest, since Phil had been teasing him all day, but that was besides the point).

Dan was in full on grump mode. He was ignoring his daddy, and this morning he’d even thrown his plate of pancakes that he’d specifically asked for on to the floor in a tantrum. Dan wanted his paci, and he wanted it now. So much so that when Phil announced that he was going out to get cupcakes, with strict instructions for Dan to be good and he could have a cupcake, Dan went on a hunt for it. He’d gone through every room in the house, eventually finding all of his pacifiers in the bottom drawer of the office desk, letting out a relieved breath. He grabs his favourite, one that reads ‘baby’ on its face, and puts it between his teeth, setting in to an easy rhythm of suckling on it.

That’s how Phil finds him, curled up on their bed with a paci in mouth, a stuffie in grasp and eyebrows furrowed deeply as his glazed over eyes gaze up at Phil, frown tugging on his lips. “What did I tell you baby..?” Phil says the words softly, and Dan whines. “I’m sorry Daddy I just.. I needed it..” He whimpers the words out, grasping the end of the pacifier with his fingers. Phil softens with that, and he slowly moves to lay beside Dan, holding him close to his chest and letting out a soft hum.

“It’s alright, I think you’ve had enough punishment for today, hm?” Dan smiles, and settles off in to an easy and dream filled sleep.

Imagine Dan and Phil wedding.

Imagine them dancing the first dance and being all smiley and happy but also incredibly moved and, though usually socially awkward, the spotlight doesn't bother them at all.

It's their day, and they are in love and they have finally tied the knot.

They are happy and they are so in their happy little bubble that they don't notice the people around until the song ends and everyone applauds.

Imagine that a few songs later, they are just singing along to one of the songs, laughing loudly and freely, all whilst holding each other's hand as they do silly dancing.

➤ the first time dan shared a bed with phil, they weren’t even oficially dating. yes, there had been a lot flirtation and dan wasn’t blind, he could see the way phil would sometimes stare at his lips just two seconds too long. but neither of them said anything about labels or even if they wanted to be more than just friends, but dan wanted it, so sharing a bed with the object of his affections was somewhat nerve wracking. phil hadn’t even hesitated when he offered his bed to dan even though both of them knew there was a perfectly fine guest room down the hall. the younger one replied a quick yes, but his heart was in his throat when he lay down next to the boy he never even thought he’d ever meet. he could feel the heat coming from phil where they arms almost touched. there were so many unspoken words between them, but it didn’t make dan feel choked up, it actually made him feel so hopeful for the future. they didn’t share smiles or stared at each other’s eyes like dan had pictured, but the soft whispers and the closeness were more than enough to fill dan up with something he knew was the closest to love he ever felt. 

➤ sleeping in the same bed as dan was something phil loved. he loved when the boy would visit him at his house in manchester and they’d just lie on the bed and talk. he liked the way dan looked against his bed sheets, he looked like he belonged there, laughing and hiding his face on his pillow, the dimples on his cheek so deep phil felt like could get lost on them. he already was so lost. but he trusted dan to find him.

➤ two bedrooms. dan still frowned every time he saw the two words in the flat advertisements. it was weird. it was weird that they kissed more often than not. it was weird that they would make love against phil’s mattress almost everytime dan visited him after university and now the same man that would whisper “i love you” in his ear after making him have the best orgasm of his life wanted a two bedrooms flat. it stung. and even though dan loved the one they had choosen together (he still couldn’t believe that they would live together), but the thought of sleeping in the same house, but not in the same bed as phil made his insides twist and turn in an uncomfortable way. when they moved in and dan set up his bedroom, he just stared at the monochromatic decorations and felt empty. he was still staring when phil hugged him from behind and kissed his neck. “it looks good. it’ll look very cool in the background of your videos”, phil said in a honeyed voice. dan only hummed in agreement, still feeling like something was wrong. “now let’s go to our room, i wanna start to make some good memories there”, dan turned around so quickly he almost knocked phil to the floor, his heart beating so fast he wouldn’t be suprised if the older boy could hear it. if phil noticed his confusion, he didn’t say anything, only offering dan his hand and wearing a smirk full of promises that dan couldn’t wait to find out what they were. he took phil’s hand and went to their bedroom, his heart feeling so warm and so at home. after another amazing orgasm that dan was sure phil was the only one who could give it to him, he stared at the man he loved so much, his hand warm in phil’s hold. he was about to give the sleeping boy a kiss on the cheek when he snored and dan had to hold a loud laugh that almost got out of his throat. he was so happy it was ridiculous. he shook his head, the smile never leaving his face as he lay his head back on the pillow. he couldn’t wait to hear more snores everyday before he fall asleep. 

➤ 8 years and dan still would feel his insides warm when he lay beside his boyfriend. he loved the warmth that phil radiated, loved the way he’d cuddle with him, his chest pressed against dan’s back, his arm holding his waist firmly like he wanted to make sure dan would always be in his arms, their legs entwined. it was when dan would feel the most loved, when their love would feel the most real. even when they just lay on the bed without all of their limbs interlaced, just holding each others hand or looking at each others eyes. dan would never give up on sleeping in the same bed as phil. it reminded him of how deep their intimacy was, how much they trusted each other, how they loved each other so much they didn’t want to be apart not even when they were sleeping. no. dan would never give up on that. even though phil still snored.

➤ when dan has a cold, he likes to be showered with love. well, we all know he likes to be showered with love all the time, but he feels particularly needy when he’s sick. luckily he also had the best boyfriend who accepts the chance of also getting a cold and cuddles with him, making sure their bodies are fitting perfectly together as they try to watch a movie while dan coughs and sneezes every two minutes. 

➤ dan and phil probably aren’t as romantic as people seem to picture them, but sometimes, phil has to admit they’re disgustingly sweet. cuddling is something they cherish a lot, maybe more than kissing. phil loves the feeling of holding dan or being held by him. he likes to just sit on the couch, feel dan’s hair against his neck, his warm breath hitting his collarbone and the skin of his arm soft under phil’s touch. 

➤ phil probably has a special love for winter, not only because he’s obsessed with snow, but because he enjoys the cold. he had always enjoyed it, but since it became an excuse to cuddle dan all the time the season got even more appreciated. “i’m feeling cold, warm me up!”, he demands jokingly, opening his arms and pouting as dan rolls his eyes, a fond smile on his lips. “c’mere, you spork”, and phil can hear the love everytime his boyfriend calls him that, it’s like he’s saying something like “babe” or “love”. it’s so them that phil has to go as fast as he can inside dan’s arms. he feels safe.

➤ phil told dan that, before him, none of his past lovers liked to cuddle as much as him. dan still couldn’t understand who wouldn’t want to cuddle phil as much as they wanted to make love to him. because the thing is: phil is great at both. when he pulls dan into his arms, the younger boy feels like he’s floating, like he’s invencible. being inside phil’s arms is like finally finding the answer to an important question you never asked. it’s not desperate, it’s just right and even though you didn’t know before, all you needed.

➤ phil remembers how he described dan’s smell. “he smells like warm”, he typed and he was so infatuated with the boy, that he knows his heart swelled while he remembered holding dan so close he could press his nose on his neck and just breathe him in. warm was the perfect word to describe dan. he has a warm smile, a warm voice, warm eyes, a warm heart. 

➤ there’s not such a thing as the right time for cuddles to dan and phil. the right time is all the time. while watching a movie, while eating breakfast, while having bryony and wirrow over, while editing a particularly hard video, while scrolling through tumblr. they just love to feel so close and so in love, knowing that anyone who saw them all tangled together would see how much they love each other. it’s a great feeling.

dan howell was born with fire streaming in his veins. his hair curled into pretty flames and his eyes were as yellow as sunflowers. a pretty scary image, right? he didn’t know who his parents were, he was found by an old couple who raised him as their own child even tho people disapproved of him because while that world was dominated by water elements, dan belonged to fire. the other children were afraid of him, a fear perpetuated by old tales. the fire people were the enemy.

tho, not everyone was scared of dan. there was this one child, his skin was light blue just as everyone else’s in that world and his hair were deep blue just like his eyes. he had a pretty smile. he introduced himself as phil, he must have been a couple years older than dan. he was kind, he had offered dan a sweet slice of chocolate cake.

phil was everything dan had left after the death of the old couple that had adopted him. the kids grew closer and closer and, unexpectedly, they fell in love.

then phil’s parents took him away from dan and forbade him to go see his son. years passed and dan grew older and developed his powers. he was a prisoner in his own house. the fire in his veins was burning and it was painful and grief was making him go insane; his powers were out of control, he had killed a man, burned him alive. he couldn’t even touch books and flowers for they would have perished under his touch.

one night, dan heard a knock on his door and when he opened it phil was standing in front of him, tall and exquisitely handsome.

dan had felt his heart break, then. because phil was there, after so many years, and if dan dared to brush his fingertips on his soft cheek, he could kill him.
