idk if this is more head canon or more fact but (obviously during non-coronavirus times) dan and phil go on dates, a lot. i imagine they go out even moreso since the whole project sphere thing and since coming out.
I think you’re right. And I think that after three weeks inside because of the quarantine Dan decided that they desperately need a date night at home because they are both stressed, and especially Phil, who is worried about his parents and in general. So Dan got them some wine, ordered in some sushi, lit a bunch of candles in the kitchen and got a big fancy bouquet of flowers (that he totally is prepared to say that they were for him if Phil laughs at him). Phil didn’t laugh though. When Dan texted him to come up and Phil climbed the stairs he just stared for a little bit and then went to Dan, hugged him really tightly and put his head under his chin and they just stood there for a bit in silence. And then of course they devoured the food and lay on the couch making the beluga sounds while watching tv.
