Summery: While attending Vidcon 2015, Dan and Phil (especially Dan) are having a bit trouble keeping their relationship under wraps. While Phil wants it to stay that way, Dan decided to take matters into his own hands.

author’s note: This is my first fanfiction, so just bear with me ok. I am not the best writer, I just did this for fun. Also this happened forever ago, so I don't know if she even remembers, but my friend attackonmylife12321 proof read this first chapter a while back and made a few minor changes with wording and phrasing and such, so thanks for that Megan! (you guys should go hop over to her blog when your done reading this little chapter K? K.) Hope you guys enjoy!

I heard my alarm ring for the third time this morning and rolled over drowsily to press snooze yet again. The Vidcon kick off party last night had left Phil and I exausted, but seeing as we had to be back at the convention center in less then 30 minutes, I figured we had had enough laying about. I turned off the alarm and sat up with a sigh. Scratching my horrifying wavy hair, I looked over to see Phil still "sleeping" at my side. "Come on Phil, my phones gone off three times now. You can't pretend you slept through that." He rolled over with his back facing me and groaned in response. He did this all the time with the post man and I usually let it slide, but today was not the day. "Oh come on you dingus, we have, like, 25 minutes to get dressed and get out of here! You can't pull this act on me." No response. I slowly leaned over him and gave him a light kiss on the neck. "Phiiiiiil," I wispered in his ear. He finally turned his head slowly and opened his eyes."Yes?" he asked with that silly sarcastic face that made my heart do backflips. "Come on, you heard me! Rise and shine!" I chided. "If I don't, will you give me another kiss?" Oh god. His voice had that morning huskyness to it. I loved it when it was like that. "As inviting as that sounds, no...I'LL DO THIS!" I screeched and grabbed my feather hotel pillow to whack him over the head with it. Phil sat up and yelped in suprise. "Mission accomplished," I boasted as I jumped out of the bed. "You little.... UGH!" He grabbed the nearest pillow and made a weak attempt at flinging it at me. "I hate you," he grumbled. I chuckled at him as I made my way over to the mirror to straighten my hair. Sleepy Phil was one of my favorite Phils. "No you don't, you love me! I would challenge you to a battle, but you seem like you would be shit at this in the morning AND we really have to get ready. I do NOT want to find out what they will do to us if we're late." "Fair enough," he replied as he slid out of bed and walked over to his suitcase, "but you should know that if I wasn't hung over from that awesome party last night, I would totally kick your ass in a pillow fight! ...Or should I say, hit your ass! Cause...pillow fight. You hit people...with pillows..." I shook my head and glanced back at him through the mirror. "Yeah babe, I got it. Just put your clothes on." I paused with a smirk spread across my face. "That's a sentence I didn't think I'd ever say to you!" I heard his hearty laugh from the back of the room. " Hey, you better stop all that before we leave!" "yeah yeah" I replied, waving a hand at him. After that I promptly decided to stop distracting him so that we could make it to the front of the hotel in time.

We just barley made it down to the lobby, catching the last car to the convention center with Louise and Joey. Of course Joey had his camera out and was vlogging, so Phil and I had to keep our flirtatious actions to a minimum. It had been a huge struggle to restrain ourselves at that crazy dance party  that occurred last night; all we had wanted to do was dance together,hand in hand, feet slowly moving in time with the music. But with so many of our friends waving their cameras about, it was too risky. If a fan managed to catch a glimpse of us flirting it up in the background, our fanbase would probably explode! Phil decided to play one last song on his phone back at the hotel room after the party was over to satisfy me (he is such a pleaser), but without the dimly lit mood lights and 'anything can happen' atmosphere, it just hadn't felt the same. I was happy that we were finally alone, but the music was supposed to be louder, the lights should have been the perfect mix of  purple and blue, and there should have been other couples out there dancing with us.  It should have been a public experience. But Phil wasn't ready to come out yet, and if I really thought about it, neither was I. He had brought up the very subject before we left, listing off to me the many worries he had: If we confessed, our lives would change in ways he wasn't sure he was ready for. Sure, there would be no more hiding behind the editing, but if we came out, how would everyone take it? I was sure our fans would take it extremly well, but Phil worried about them taking the shipping to a whole new level. What if they harassed us into making those stupid boyfriend tags? What if they insisted on taking our relationship to the next level and pressured one of us to propose to the other before we even wanted to? what if the radio station didn't want us working for them anymore because we were officially together? What if some of our friends disowned us? Then we'd also have to re-write the book, which would be a whole new level of stress! I was finding Phil to be a bit over imaginative and nervous about the thought of coming out, but I decided not to pressure him. I shook my head. He had compiled Too many what if's.

I saw Phil move his hand awkwardly towards my thigh but then dropped it down to his side, remembering Joey was just across the cab and could direct the camera over to us at any second. "Erm, what you thinking about?" he smiled gently at me, looking slightly concered. I realized I had been staring into oblivion for the whole ride, not even paying attention to Louise trying to make conversation with the both of us. "Oh...nothing," I murmured and lowered my voice as Louise turned her attention to Joey and his "audience". "Just trying to not let myself do anything stupid with you and spill everything. I don't want you to get mad at me." Phil let out a chuckle in slight suprise. "hey, I could never get mad at you. Annoyed, yeah sure, all the time! Mad or angry, no." Making sure our other friends weren't paying attention, he leaned his head slightly closer to mine, lowering his voice so that Joey's camera wouldn't pick up our chat in the background. "Also, you have no idea how hard I've been trying not to kiss those luscious lips of yours this whole trip." I chuckled at how ridiculous the line sounded. "Luscious? Really?" Phil's face flushed red. "Well, uh, yeah!" "You try too hard sometimes. You know that right?" He nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah, I guess so." (Like I said, people pleaser!) I noticed how closer our faces were now, and decided to bridge the gap. I slowly moved my head forward, closing my eyes and forming my lips into a kiss. "Dan." I reopened my eyes to see Phil's staring sternly back at me. We stared into each other, and the seconds seemed like they stretched into hours, as they always did when my eyes met his. They were as blue as oceans, but I couldn't allow myself to drown in them today. With all of my strength, I diverted my line of vision away from him. "Look, I'm sorry. But you have to remember what we agreed to!" Phil was reminding me of the talk that we had had before boarding the plane here to America. He had dropped his voice down to a whisper, barely audible even to me. "We can't do any of that, and you know it. Not until we get home." I guessed phil was fearful of Joey and Louise overhearing us, which was a potential problem that could occure, since were were in a car a few feet across from each other. None of our friends knew about our true relationship yet, but we both were pretty sure PJ knew. He had hung around us long enough to figure it out. Other than him, we were pretty sure we had covered our tracks well so far. We had been thinking of confessing to some of them, but yet again, according to phil, too many what if's. "I know." I sighed. "Its just-" "Hey guys, what did y'all think of breakfast?!" Joey interrupted as he turned his camera over to us, arching an eyebrow when he noticed how close my and Phil's faces were. Phil's eyes widened like a deer in headlights; maybe he forgot the camera was still on? Whatever the reason, I decided to answer for him. "Oh! Um...actually, we were a bit late getting out of bed, so we didn't have anything to eat," "Uh yeah. Forgot to set an alarm." Phil added, regaining his composer and shifting in his seat, moving his head back so that our faces were no longer cenimeters apart. We then all talked about how Phil and I had missed out on the amazing french toast until we arrived at the Convention Center. Before we exited the car, I swiftly caught a glance of Phil taking a deep breath, while resting a shaking hand on the door handle. Just before pushing it open he looked back at me, and for a split second our eyes met. We seemed to both think the same thing. "No lovey buisness." (This happened to be what Phil said to me before boarding the plane here). I followed in pursuit as Phil stepped out of the car and made his way to the back door of the building, through which we would be entering. From there I began to assume the star roll I was known for playing: Phil’s one and only best friend. As thats all he ever wanted anyone to see.

Selfie Twins

 "Hey Phil?" Dan finally spoke, looking down at his boyfriend laying on his chest.

 "Yeah Dan?" Phil looked up at him.

 "Wanna do another selfie thing?" He asked, picking up his phone.

 "But I look tired," Phil mumbled, nuzzling his head in Dan's chest.

 "Shut up you look fine," Dan argued, sitting up and pulling Phil up beside him. He set his laptop down on the bed and opened the camera on his phone.

 "I want it to be a 'with my boyfriend' one," Dan half mumbled. Phil caught it right away and his eyes widened.

"Dan! Are you sure? You know what that's going to do, right?" Phil asked, as if Dan didn't know. Dan chewed his lip.

"Yeah. I'm sure. I just, want to," Dan admitted, shrugging. Phil sighed a little and messed with his hair.

 "Okay," Phil said, pulling out his own phone. Dan smiled a little and messed with his hair, switching the camera. He pointed it at the two of them, he turned his head and kissed Phil's cheek until he heard the click. He checked the picture, making sure it was okay. He hadn't noticed himself shaking until that moment when he tried to look down at his phone. Phil pointed his own phone at them, smiling as he pressed his lips lightly to Dan's cheek as Dan pulled his usual smile and a wink. Phil stopped once he heard the click and typed out the tweet.

 "You sure about this? This will basically confirm us," Phil said, hovering over the tweet button.

 Dan pulled a smile, looking at Phil with a nod. "Yeah, I think it'll be okay," Phil pecked his cheek for real this time.

 "Ready, three, two one, go," Dan said, as they both pressed the tweet button.

 Dan let out a shaky breath and put his phone down, wrapping his arms around Phil's waist.

 "I can't believe we just did that," Dan mumbled. Phil was smiling, he felt glad he'd done that.

They didn't bother to check Twitter or Tumblr or answer calls or texts from friends until the both of them calmed down. Even then they were too afraid in the morning, not wanting their day to be ruined as they headed off for VidCon again. They both were extremely afraid and skeptical of what was going to happen.

The congratulations started when they got into the lift, a girl teenage girl was in heading to the same floor and she just about bounced off the walls when she saw them. After a picture the girl exploded with her happiness about the two of them, and they both felt a small bit of relief wash over them.

Throughout the entire day they only seemed to get congratulations. Their group of friends of course knew about them already, but they were absolutely ecstatic and proud that they came out- even the silly way they did.

“I’m glad we did this,” Dan whispered to Phil in between meeting fans and taking pictures.

“Me too,” Phil smiled, planting a kiss on Dan’s head- causing the many girls surrounding them to erupt with screams. They weren’t sure if they liked the screaming- but the fact they could be together in public. Dan just about cried with happiness at the end of the day.
