SPF Chapter 4 cover

Phantom Forces’ Chapter 4 is about to start and I have to think of a chapter cover. I’m going to paint it like the other ones and of course, it’ll have the number of crystal shards that correspond with the chapter number but I have no idea what it should focus on. Chapter 4 is when we finally get into the meat of the story with fights and such, Glitched!Silver will finally be addressed... or rather noticed by everyone else at the end.  Maybe it should have both Infinite and Ruby!Sonic on it.... not sure

I hope its fine if I ship these two because the idea of Ruby!Sonic and Infinite in this au has... so much potential. It makes sense for Infinite to be cold towards Sonic and even feel threatened by his presence in the Eggman Empire, but hearing that Infinite stays important throughout the au got me thinking. Perhaps with time, Infinite feels less threatened by Sonic, especially given that Sonic sees him more as a coworker of sorts and doesn't actively try to overthrow or undermine Infinite's position. And since Sonic is literally just himself but misinformed, I'd imagine that he's probably the most friendly person Infinite has worked close with (at least since his Jackal Squad). Sonic can be a cheeky son of a gun and sometimes pushes ppl's buttons, but maybe his bold attitude (and newfound powers that surpass Infinite's) garners him some respect from his cold coworker. I could see Infinite reluctantly growing fond of Sonic, but trying to supress it due to past pain and the fact that he's literally lying to him everyday, and comes to know that lies are one of the things Sonic hates the most. Sonic picks up on this change of attitude anyways and lightly teases Infinite good-naturedly, not realizing the depth and circumstance of why Infinite tries to hide it. I feel like this could either end in Sonic finding out what Eggman has done, and rejecting the Empire- or Infinite telling Sonic himself out of guilt (tho he'd reason with himself that its because Sonic is a liability/he wants Sonic out of his way to power in the Empire)- OR Infinite secretly informing the resistance about Sonic's state and Eggman's plans, possibly leading to a redemption arc.

Sorry for the long ramble, I just find this au very interesting and also Im gay
