since you've read a lot of zs fics, could you recommend some? like specifically ones that you think are underrated 👀
hi! this ask is so exciting to me, thanks for sending! i’m fairly new to the zs fandom but been reading fics for about 8-9 months straight so yes haha you could say i’ve read a lot 😆
to preface my recos, i like zsz so i dont mind anything 💚💛
anyway, here’s my list of underrated fics (underrated for me is like under 500 kudos and please mind the tags on some of them):
hi i've been going through your LGIEF tag bc i just finished the show and the brainrot is real. i have some questions i was wondering if you could answer for me! what's the variety show that ding yuxi and esther yu did together as a promo for the drama? and also in one of your posts you mentioned that the drama ending is different from the novel, could you tell me about the novel ending? or at least tell me where i can read about it?
Hello! So they've done two variety shows.
One is an episode of Hello Saturday, which is a weekly variety show in China that has celebrity guests. Often drama casts go on there to promote. Their Hello Saturday episode was filmed in September and aired in November. You can watch it subtitled here.
I think what you are referring to is The Shining Stars. This is a four episode variety show that was quickly put into production once it was realized how successful LGIEF was. They filmed it in mid-November over a few days.
The premise is that Ling Miaomiao makes a wish to the system to summon all her friends, and they have a tropical vacation together. So it's basically a fanservice variety show, but it's not scripted or canon or whatnot. It's the actors goofing around while semi in character. It's just kind of for fun. I know there's going to be fishing, an escape room, and a date night, but I'm not sure what else.
The prequel episode aired on November 30th, and the rest airs December 10-15 on the Tencent/WeTV app. I watched the prequel episode (yes it's subtitled on the English app), and it was quite cute, so I'm excited to see the rest.
As for the novel ending, everything about Ziqi being Fu Zhou isn't there. Ziqi only exists in the story and Fu Zhou is just some guy who wrote a book.
The ending is pretty straight forward adventure story, but then the epilogue is kind of... unique ahahah. I've noticed that people seem to love it or hate it. For me personally, though I like how definitive they are as a couple at the end, there are a few aspects of it I dislike. Here's a very detailed summary! I DO love the fact that he ends up in her world. The last two paragraphs are adorable. It's just some of the stuff before that I'm not as big a fan of.
hi 👀
You get: so long, suckers and suckettes ©
hi! where did you read the new chapter? the website i use doesn't have it yet 👀👀
Hiiiiii 🥰
Eheheh mine didn't have it either but I found another one that had it! Reach out to me in the chat and I'll send it to you 🥰
Hope you have fun reading it! 😁💕
hi elle, i'm currently finishing up my master's and i have about a month to finish writing my thesis. i basically have all the elements i need to write; i've done all the research i really need and most of the reading. what i'm struggling with is organising my thoughts into something with a coherent structure and actually sitting down to write. i keep getting scared of the blank page or worried that i haven't done enough, even if my advisor reassures me that i have.
i was wondering if you had any advice or words of encouragement? seeing your research journey has been really inspiring and encouraging, as someone who also had to drop out and come back to my studies later
omg thank you for sending me this ask! I'm very excited on your behalf. What is your field?
Anyway, my recommendation would be to start with the lit review. I found it very easy to write, just "here's everything I read and how it connects with my topic" and I already had notes that I used as a skeleton, just a 3-sentence summary of each paper I'd been reading. I would also look into whether your institution has a thesis archive so you can see works from past students (or the abstract) and see how they're structured.
I fear I can't help with worrying you haven't done enough because I have the world's worst impostor's syndrome. My cure for it is just to get people to proofread my stuff so that they can tell me if it doesn't make sense, but it works decently well. If your advisor is available, I would also send them chapters as you go for #accountability.
Anyway please tell me more about your thesis topic and good luck!!
wait is it your birthday??? happy birthday!!!!!!!!
it is! thank you :D
happy birthday!!!!!!
happy groundhog day!!
