Still figuring out how to draw her, but I think I'm getting a hang of it
grace lies unconscious on a stretcher like bed, waiting to be loaded onto the hail mary. stratt holds his hand lightly and leans down to whisper: “remember me as a villain.” because it is better than being remembered as a friend. he has already gone through that betrayal once
Yao, about Grace who is standing in front of him: Is he always like this?
Stratt: yeah pretty much. Welcome to the club!
If the entire personnel of Project Hail Mary on the aircraft carrier thought Eva Stratt & Ryland Grace had something going on ("You are the number two."),
The press, whose literal job is to delve into and spread those issues, using their keen eyes and vulture-like senses, would definitely and instantly catch on "the dynamic" between Stratt & Grace. (Also, intels. It is a world-scale project, of course there would be so many intels inside that aircraft carrier.)
Anyway, when Stratt was on her way to consult one of the experts with Grace, as usual, they encountered a flock of reporters. Questions were asked ravenously, and Stratt calmly answered them. This on-the-spot interview happens all the time, it's something quotidian.
As most of the questions got answered & the noises from the reporter crowd subdued, suddenly one reporter asked loudly:
"What do you have to say about the rumors that you are in a relationship with Dr. Ryland Grace?"
THAT QUESTION instantly grabbed the rest of the reporters' attentions, almost at neck-snapping speed, and they were back to those attentive, 'oh, this is gonna be juicy' looks. Grace, absolutely flustered & abashed, flails his hands frantically & desperately, shouting & sputtering out "Tha- that is not true!"
However, Stratt, without flinching or a change of expression, stares the reporter for a few deafening seconds and just walks away.
She does have a valid reason, though. She didn't respond to the question at all because 1) it is such an absurd rumor that's not worth answering & 2) she doesn't want to feed the rumor mill by giving any kind of response, thinking that reporters would get her message.
Or so she thought.
Unfortunately, this non-response was interpreted in an opposite way, as an affirmation.
Grace, completely dumbfounded, froze where he was standing with a thousand-yard stare & reporters were aggressively nudging multiple microphones toward him, but his mind was not there.

In prison, Eva Stratt faces the guilt brought by her choices. On another planet, Ryland Grace absolves her.
I like that Eva(with a e, right??)Is evil but not really
My memories of the movie’s events are fuzzy so if I recall events a tad wrong no they aren’t they’re actually what happened and YOURE wrong slash silly yes I spell out slash and also say slash Jay in real life because funny
She commits a crime against Grace and Grace only so he can. With completely valid reasons. Think she is evil. But she isn’t
She’s not only kind and regretful about what she had to do, but she only did it because she had to. Last case scenario. She WANTED to convince him. She wanted this to be on his own accord because she couldn’t bring herself to force him, but she did. And I love her for it
To everyone but Grace, she saved the earth(at this point, probably) by doing what she did, and we don’t know the direct aftermath of what she did, how Grace reacted while in orbit(not orbit but whatever you know what I mean)
I wouldn’t call her morally gray, but what she did was morally gray
Sorry this was poorly written and rushed I’m watching wheel of fortune with my grandparents and mom and typing this WHILE looking at the screen and reacting to my vaguely insane grandmother shit on one singular contestant that she chooses every night to bash on and my mom and her saying wildly inappropriate things to one up each other and laughing because my grandma gets offended by the jokes my moms making cause their innaproprienr but tha saying something then times worse and laughing evily im so serious when I say I love my family and wof time because alls fair in war and this is war and my moms reverts to childlike joy and it’s so fun
Strattland, but they've switched outfits for a day
