fanfic asks: B, I, K, M, S
B: Any of your stories inspired by personal experience?
Oh, sure. Sometimes even unintentionally. I was dealing with a looot of childhood trauma while writing Neal in “To Catch A Swan”. That one threw me for a loop when I realized it.
Dani’s vaginismus in “Midwinter” is heavily inspired by my own struggles with vaginismus--and boy do I wish my ex was as understanding and loving as Pelle is!
All of the administrative craziness (not the drugging coffee or stealing a body, like, the printer going haywire) in “9 to 5″ is inspired by real things that have happened to me as a secretary. I, too, would like to have sex in an elevator with a hot Scottish boss. (Did I just spoil a big part of my fic that I haven’t posted yet?)
M: Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?
Not currently, aside from more raptor smut when the third JW film comes out (I want Belle the raptor trainer to meet Ellie and Grant) and my “what if Dani was pregnant during the events of Midsommar”.
Oh, and some Inuyasha/Kagome wedding smut, which I’ve been writing off and on for like five years. And maybe some new stuff involving Moroha and Hisui, WHICH I WILL SHIP EVEN IF NO ONE ELSE DOES.
S: Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?
Bed sharing, mutual pining, babes ever after...and J-E-A-L-O-U-S-Y with a side portion of possessive biting. It slays me every time.
G, I, and K!
G: Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?
Start to finish. I am a very linear writer, which I’m told is pretty unusual. So many writing teachers have said “you don’t have to start with chapter 1! start wherever you want!”. But if I do that, I never get the damn thing done. Occasionally inspiration will strike and I’ll write a scene with the intention of putting it in later--but I have to start at Chapter 1 and end with The End.
I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?
Naaah, all fic writing/reading is guilty pleasure to me. (Something I work on for fun, when I probably should be working on original stuff.) I will say I’ve been reading some Jo x Dean fanfic, from the Supernatural fandom, and basically anything to do with Supernatural is a guilty pleasure since the fandom is so damn annoying.
Back in season 2, Jo and Dean were endgame and you cannot convince me otherwise.
K: What’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with?
I had a fic called “On the Shores of Loch Katrine”--which I have no idea if anyone still remembers, it’s been ages since I’ve written it! But I came up with a remix of it after watching Outlander, where Gold died and a heartbroken and grief-struck Belle fell back in time and met his ancestor, Tavish Gold, and fell in love with him in turn. I had it all outlined and everything, even had a first chapter written.
It’s got such an angsty premise though...Loch Katrine!Gold was so beloved, I felt bad for killing him off and pairing my Belle with his ancestor. I was scared of upsetting people so I never posted it.
Now I’m older and I give less of a fuck, so I could be persuaded to post it if anyone ever wanted to read it. I’ve been on an Outlander kick too.
What is This Feeling part 4
For a good chunk of class neither of the two spoke. They cleared their throat and shuffled papers, but they didn’t look or speak to the other. Jason, Piper, Cecil, and Lou Ellen all noticed something was wrong. There was no bickering coming from their corner of the room, no frustrated growls and snide comments. They were just sitting there, quiet, still, faces hidden. They didn’t have a clue as to what could have happened. Had an argument finally gone too far?
“Uh, listen,” Will tried after a while of turning the words over and over in his head. “About-”
“Don’t,” Nico said, his voice void of emotion, but still harsh. He didn’t elaborate but Will got the idea.
He sighed and slumped in his seat. “Okay, well how do we finish this if we don’t talk?”
“We can talk. Just not about that.” Will rolled his eyes and drummed his fingers on the table. “Stop that,” Nico muttered. Will raised an eyebrow, but considering Nico hadn’t even looked at him, he decided to ignore him. He drummed his fingers a little louder against the desk and watched as Nico’s muscles tensed.
Suddenly a hand was over his, putting incredible strength to stop his fingers. Nico recoiled and his hands went into his hair, still trying to avoid looking at Will. The bell rang for dismissal and Will hovered by his desk. “Well, are we still working on it after school?” he mumbled.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” he answered, collecting his things. “I’ll uh, text you if anything.” He started leaving and Will groaned, agitate beyond belief.
He followed Nico and snatched the strap of his backpack to pull him back. Most kids kept walking, some gave them a look. A few gave surprised gasps and began to whisper. Was Will Solace about to get into a fight with Nico di Angelo? Will Solace, the friendliest boy in school?
Rage prickled along his skin at the way Nico could bring out the worst in him. The way that no matter how hard he tried to be nice, he always ended up in an argument with him. He caught the looks from the people around him and without even looking at Nico’s furious expression, he tugged him down toward the bus ramp exit. “What the hell are you doing?” Nico snapped, yanking away.
“What are you doing?” he asked angrily. “For crying out loud, Nico! We’re almost done with this thing, what does it matter what happened yesterday? You don’t have to act like we- like we-”
“Like we what?” he snarled. “Kissed? Because we did, Solace.”
Will sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “Okay, yeah. Whatever. I mean…. Nico, we can pretend it didn’t happen. I know you’re not into guys or-”
“Oh for crying out loud!” he snapped. “I don’t care that you’re a guy! My dad is too drunk to give a damn about who I kiss on my spare time and I don’t really care what people at school think.”
Taking a step back and blinking in confusion Will tried to for a thought. He looked at Nico, sullen and angry, finally looking him in the eyes. “Then… what’s the big deal?” he asked dumbly.
“That it’s you!” he yelled, throwing his arms up in frustration. “I don’t like you! You annoy the hell out of me! You with your preppy clothes and happy smile and friendliness! Everyone likes you! You’re this happy, caring guy that’s nice to everyone and nobody ever says anything bad about you. My God, and it’s annoying! You’re this freaking goody two shoes and you kiss me? I’m your complete opposite and- and-” He looked at Will with his big brown eyes, his hair falling in front of them, making him look stressed and even afraid.
His words died in his throat. He didn’t even know where he was going with that rant. And with Will looking at him with those crystal blue eyes, determined and confused. His lips were parted in surprise at Nico’s lashes, waiting for him to finish.
“Oh, fuck it,” Nico muttered. He pulled him by his collar and pressed his lips against him again, this time kissing him fervidly, desperately. The feelings churning in him didn’t make any sense. He despised this sandy haired perfect golden boy, but at the same time his heart leapt when he saw him, his stomach burst with butterflies when they argued and got so close, he could feel his hot breaths against his face. And every feeling was emphasized when he felt Will kiss him back.
His hands rested on his hips, his fingers dug into his skin, and Nico hated him for making him feel anything besides pure hatred for him. Nico let his hands slide into his hair again, pressed him closer.
When he broke away, he stared into his eyes, which seemed to struggle to focus. “Whoa,” he muttered. “Yeah, I can see how much you hate me,” he said, beginning to smirk.
“Shut up,” Nico said hitting his arm. He was dizzy and warm and he didn’t want to pull away from his arms. “What the hell did you do to me?” he whispered.
Will didn’t answer. He just slid his hand up to Nico’s cheek and tilted his face up to him. “What does this mean? You’re telling me you don’t like me, then you’re kissing me.”
“I don’t know,” he answered, furrowing his eyebrows. “You do annoy me. But you’re the only person who ever stands up to me. You’re the only one who knows about the way my dad gets. You’re the only one that reminds me I can feel anything.”
“I mean if it’s worth anything, you annoy me too.” Surprisingly, Nico laughed. Will smiled and leaned down to kiss him softly this time.
“How many people do you think we’ll surprise?” Nico snorted. Piper had called it long before, and so had Jason. Their ideas had seemed absurd. How could Nico, who was so cold and unamicable, ever feel anything for the blond teenager on the other side of the room who would meet his glare with one of his own?
“Mm, anyone not close to us?” he suggested. “Cecil had suggested it before. But I didn’t take him serious.” He smiled his sunny smile and tilted his head. “So are you coming to my house?”
“Are we actually going to work on that project?” Will shrugged. “Alright,” he laughed.
They sent their time in Will’s room, laying on the floor, staring at the ceiling. Will asked him questions and for the first time, Nico spoke up. He told him about his sister. He told him about the way his stepmother had left and how it had destroyed his father. He told him how badly he wanted to leave and how scared he was to feel anything for anyone.
Will told him about his yearlong attempt to get a higher grade than Nico and his frustration at how hard he had to try while also trying to raise himself at home. He told Nico about his original impression of him, how he had believed that Nico’s stoic expression was just a sign of his control over anyone who was near.
They’d kissed again and again, settling into a certain manner of kissing they both liked. They found new ways to annoy each other and weaknesses like certain tickle spots or touches that made the other’s pupils dilate.
The next day at school, Nico and Will walked together most of the day. A few people caught glances of them holding hands, but only for a second. Then again, it could have been their imagination. There was no way it could have been real. Everyone knew how much those two hated each other.
Nico wasn’t very expressive with Will when there were other people around. He spoke softly and traced patterns on his hand when no one was looking, but that was it. Other than that, there wasn’t much of a change in the way they were with each other. They still managed to bicker over little things, driving each other crazy. Their time separated from each other proved necessary with the way they constantly butted heads.
When they were in their last class, Nico was flipping through papers and Will had taken the liberty of throwing his legs over Nico’s lap. “Here’s the rubric, Neeks.”
“Neeks?” he questioned, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. “That’s cute.” Will winked and took the papers from him. “Hey, I was checking something.”
“You’re too slow. Here, you check it off as I name it.” Nico grumbled but let Will name off each paper.
“We’re good,” Nico said. “Good job, partner.” He high fived him and went to put the papers in the bin. He gave the teacher their poster and sat back down next to Will. “I can still go over to your place, right?” Nico asked.
“Yeah,” Will laughed. He took his hand and Nico tensed, looking at their interlocked hands in confusion before relaxing. “You okay?”
“Yeah,” he said. “I’m fine.” He smiled and leaned against him.
“Wait, when did that happen?” someone called. People started looking at them and they both froze. “Called it!” Piper yelled.
“Shut up,” Nico said, covering his face. “Do your work!” Will chuckled and Nico could feel the deep vibrations under him. Cecil and Lou Ellen and Jason and Piper reseated themselves by them and began asking questions. Nico let Will answer, feeling too stressed by the excessive attention to say anything.
In his head he wondered how this would work. How long would it last? Nico didn’t know how to be a boyfriend. He didn’t know how to be affectionate. Especially with Will. He did such a good job at pissing Nico off, he didn’t know how these feelings had surfaced. But they had and they were strong. So strong, it got Nico to talk openly with him and agree to the term “boyfriend.”
But he had no idea what it entailed.

Part 2 What is This Feeling
I got like 5 messages asking to continue this. I’m so glad you guys like it!! I have more to it if you guys want more.
They’d tried working in the library. But their arguing got too loud and they got kicked out. It was too hot to work in the park. And frankly, Nico had seen enough of the God-awful classroom they were stuck in for ninety minutes. He didn’t want to stay any longer.
“What about your place?” Nico asked the third day they’d failed to find a study place.
“I left my keys and my parents are working,” Will said with a huff. “What about your place?”
Nico grimaced, but it came off as a scowl. He twisted his ring and shrugged. His father wouldn’t be home for hours. And he didn’t plan on having Will at his house for that long. “Fine,” he grumbled. “Keep up, I don’t like slow walkers.”
They started for his house and Nico let him in, feeling anxious. He hated this guy. Now he was in his house? He went to his room and put down his bag on the floor. He yanked out the chair at his desk and gestured for Will to sit as he turned his computer on.
But Will didn’t sit. He started glancing around the room and Nico watched him warily. He paused at his corkboard. “You had a girlfriend when you were little?” he asked.
Nico grimaced, feeling annoyed and melancholic at the same time. “That’s my sister,” he said. Then, knowing what he’d ask next, he added, “We have work to do Solace. Stop looking at my stuff.”
Will rolled his blue eyes and started for the chair. They managed to get more done that time, but Nico heard Will’s stomach grumble. He raised an eyebrow. “Hungry?” Will nodded sheepishly. “You could have said so. I’ll order pizza.”
Nico ordered online and they continued to work in tense silence. He had a lot of mannerisms that Nico couldn’t choose whether to label as endearing or annoying. Like asking questions aloud to himself, making sound effects as he searched, and tapping his foot. Before he could decide, the door opened and Nico’s stomach dropped. “Shit,” he muttered under his breath.
“What?” Will asked.
“Nothing. Just stay here. And don’t touch anything.” He got up and left the room, shutting the door behind him. “Dad?” he called. He came into view, eyelids drooping and a beer bottle already in his hand to cure last night’s hangover. “Uh, I have a… friend over. We’re working on a project.” His father sighed in exhaustion and looked at him expectantly. “I ordered pizza. So… don’t worry about it.”
“With what money?” he asked, his eyes narrowing.
“My own,” Nico said softly. “It’s fine, Dad.” He shrugged and pushed past Nico to sit in the living room. He smelled sour, like stale alcohol and maybe even vomit. Nico felt the embarrassment creep up on him and berated himself. Who cared what Will thought about his dad? Nico didn’t like him much either.
He started back toward his room when the doorbell rang. Pizza. He took the box and thanked the delivery girl.
Will waited in his room, glancing around, shocked at how clean it was. He thought Nico would be messy. He figured he’d have his CD’s all over the floor, dirty clothes strewn on the bed, on the television, and have candy wrappers and half eaten food on his desk or littering the ground by his trashcan. But he didn’t.
Everything was in perfect order. The pictures on the corkboard. The books on his shelf, one pulled out with a bookmark in it. Will recognized it- The Kite Runner. He had a dry erase board with goals and reminders written on it. In one corner it had a motivational quote. The bottom corner was labeled ‘Memory of the Week’ and under it, When we were little, you never let me watch anything that wasn’t rated G. Will’s eyebrows furrowed and he neared the corkboard again. His sister.
The door opened suddenly and he walked in with that stoic expression and a pizza box in his hands. “Have at it,” he said. “I don’t eat pizza.”
“You bought me an entire pizza?” he asked in astonishment.
“Well, it’s not like I can buy four slices of it. Besides I don’t know how much you eat. I used to be able to eat a whole pizza by myself. Now I can barely manage a slice.” He returned to his computer and Will began eating. “Did you want something to drink?” he asked after Will had gotten through the third slice. Will shrugged and Nico rolled his eyes. “Honestly, would it kill you to speak up?”
“Well, you’re not exactly approachable,” he muttered. He was doing it again. He was giving Will that look that made him feel stupid and lame. Nico rolled his eyes and left the room again. He heard yelling suddenly and then Nico’s voice shouting over it.
“Dad! Dad give me the phone!” Will left the room and peered into the living room where a man with greasy shoulder length hair was yelling into a phone and at Nico. Nico had one hand on the man’s wrist and the other tried to pry away the phone.
He’d never seen so much emotion on Nico’s face. He looked sad and worried and scared and every single horrible emotion anyone could feel all at once. Will preferred the stoic look over the expression he had now.
“Dad, please. She’s not coming back!” Suddenly the man flicked his free hand, dousing Nico in liquid. Nico tensed, his eyes screwed shut. He let go of his father and wiped his eyes. When he opened them, they looked red and irritated. Surprisingly, he didn’t look angry. Just defeated. Somehow, that was worse. “I’m sorry,” he whispered. He stepped away, and Will stood frozen in shock.
But when Nico passed by him, he didn’t say anything. He just went back to his room and Will recognized the acrid stench of beer. After mobility had returned to his limbs, Will went to his room, hoping to say something reassuring, but his words caught in his throat.
Nico was sitting on his bed, his shirt balled up at his feet, and a sweater in his hands. But he made no movement to put it on. He just sat there, staring at the floor, his jaw set. Will could see every line accenting his arm muscles, the gentle curve of his back as he slouched forward. And he couldn’t breathe. His heart was pounding in his ears. Despite his efforts, he couldn’t tear his eyes away from Nico’s light brown skin and the muscles that adorned it.
Suddenly, Nico’s head snapped up. “I don’t like being watched. Stop staring at me.” He pulled the sweater on and Will blinked and snapped his mouth shut. He was about to object to staring when Nico said, “You should go. He’s just going to get worse.”
“Nico-”
“I don’t want your pity or your sympathy or whatever it is that’s going to make you say whatever is on the tip of your tongue,” he snapped. “Just go.”
Will stepped back, slightly hurt. Before he was able to shut the door, he heard Nico call his name. He backtracked. “Don’t tell anyone,” was all he said.
The next day at school, Will couldn’t help but look for Nico in his classes and the hallways. He saw him laughing with his friends at lunch, flirting with some girl in the hallway, and of course in class where he had to sit by him to work on their project. But when he tried to bring up the night before, Nico would cut him off with a random question about the project.
He didn’t smell like beer anymore. He smelled like cologne and clean cotton. “If you don’t stop looking at me like I’m a lost puppy, I’m going to punch you in the face,” he said eventually.
“I’m worried about you,” Will blurted, surprising himself.
“Well, don’t be. Worry about this stupid project that tied our grade together.”
Will could feel his annoyance coming back. “You don’t have to be such a prick about it, Nico. So what if someone cares? What’s wrong with that?” Nico didn’t answer. He just kept working. When the bell rang, Will offered Nico to continue working at his house. “I have my keys today so if you want to keep working….” He shrugged.
Despite what Will had seen, Nico remained Nico. He continued with his expression, with his snide remarks, with that frustrating no emotion attitude. If anything, it had magnified in him. They went to his home where his father was working in the garage on the nice new car he never drove.
“Hey, champ!” he called. Will waved. “Who’s that?”
“Nico. We’re working on a project.” Will’s dad nodded and he led him inside. “My mom’s usually working till about nine.” He noticed the pictures of himself as a kid in a basketball uniform and groaned internally. Nico saw them, but he didn’t comment.
When he got into his room though, Nico let out a low whistle. Will had a table filled with trophies that dated back to when he was about ten. “You played basketball?” he asked.
“Dad wanted me to. I was good at it, but I didn’t like it. Mom intervened and made me get into academics and medicine and stuff.” Nico hummed and his eyes raked over the trophies and medals. “Anyway, project.”
They started working and after a while, Nico asked, “Your parents don’t check in on you?”
“Dad tends to forget about me. He spends his time in the garage, outside in the yard, fighting with my aunt, or something. Mom gets home too late.” He shrugged and glanced at Nico, unable to read his expression. “So-”
“I should go,” he said suddenly. “We’ve done a lot of work, we can take a break from each other.” He stood and rubbed his neck, letting out a long breath through his nose. “I’ll see you around.” He turned and left, closing the door before Will could answer.
“Okay,” he mumbled to the empty room, feeling oddly hurt. Same old Nico.

Part 4 Solangelo Pirate AU
Will wanted to believe it was his pride that kept him from breaking eye contact with this captain. But the tightening in his chest told him otherwise. There was something about his gentleness that had managed to win him over. The touch on his cheek, the look of pride in his eyes when he saw Will helping his old shipmates, the way he’d intervened before Will could get killed. The way he’d tried to hide his injury.
And as he’d cleaned him, the look in his eyes had been so caring and sincere. It was the look he should have been giving his first mate. But he was giving it to Will. Then and now as he held onto his shirt and grasped his arm to remain standing.
Nico hadn’t moved in to force him to obey. This one would be up to him. This one would be his choice and his only. He could feel the hot breaths against his face, he could feel his own heart beating through his chest as the warm chocolate brown eyes stared at him. “I don’t tend to follow orders, Nico,” he said, speaking his name for the first time.
He managed a breathy, impatient chuckle. He slid his hand behind his neck, and whispered, “I order you not to kiss me, Will.” Will’s breath hitched and he looked into his tired eyes. They were already so close. Dignity could be ignored for just a moment, he’d said. As he began to lean in, the door burst open.
Will looked toward the door as Nico slumped in his arms. The first mate. The look he gave him could kill a kraken. “What are you doing?” he growled. He looked at his captain and his eyes widened. He pulled his sword and pointed it at Will. “What have you done to him?” he shouted. “You’ll hang for this!”
“Percy,” Nico muttered, muffled by Will’s clothes. “Percy!” He managed to push himself away from Will to face Percy. “He helped me. The other pirate… he stabbed me. W-The prisoner healed it. I’m simply tired.”
That was when the hurt registered in his face. He seemed to realize the brittleness of his loved one’s affections. “Give us a moment,” Nico told Will gently. “Go back to your crew. Return their weapons.”
“You trust him to-”
“Do not go against my orders, Perseus, or the one hanging will be you!” He scowled at the first mate who had fallen silent, but glared back with eyes that seemed to hold a raging sea. “Go,” he commanded Will.
He did, the door shutting behind him as soon as he could see the sunset. The other pirates were getting everything back into order. He could see his own crew returning to the lower deck. “Lou Ellen,” he called. She turned and eyed him curiously. “The captain of the ship said you could all get your weapons back.” Her eyes widened. “Don’t ask me why, I don’t know. He only said to return to you and return your weapons.”
“He is giving us the opportunity to riot against him?” she asked incredulously. “Is he an absolute imbecile?” She smiled suddenly. “This is brilliant. Quick, Will, let’s get the weapons and go free!”
The realization dawned on Will then. This wasn’t an opportunity to overthrow the captain. It was a choice for Will. Would he want to leave and take his crew with him? Or would he want to stay and convince the others they were safe? “I don’t think we should,” he said. Before she could begin the string of curses he was certain were at the tip of her tongue, he said, “The captain saved my life, Lou Ellen. He’ll keep us safe. We have food and shelter here, what will we have if we leave?”
“You’d rather live a slave?” she snarled, using his words against him.
“We are not slaves! He’s brought us in as part of his own crew. We are his crew!”
She scoffed and looked at him angrily. “I don’t know who’s more pathetic. You or the first mate.” She turned away from him and joined the others. But Will didn’t want to. He didn’t want to see their faces when they realized he was a hypocrite.
Instead he looked around to see where he could be of use. He decided to help with the supplies and fixing the things on the deck. He couldn’t help but glance at Nico’s cabin door now and then. The first mate was still in there, and Will wasn’t sure how he felt about that. Perhaps they were arguing. Perhaps the captain was manipulating him in that sadistic, seductive way of his. But there was only so much Nico could handle with the wound he had.
“Oi, ain’t you one of the prisoners?” the pirate he’d been helping asked. “Oi, look at this one, mate!” he called to another who looked very similar to him. “S’the prisoner the Cap’n fancied!”
“Aye you’re a lucky dog, mate!” the other said. They both had playful, wide smiles. “Cap’n don’t take much liking to no one. Ye’d be dead as a mast by now if he hadn’t fancied you!”
Will didn’t respond. He felt uncomfortable, if not slightly used. He turned away from the two pirates and returned to the lower deck where his crew was. They had their weapons, but they all seemed uncertain. “Is it true, Will?” one of the pirates said. It was Cecil, a good friend of his. “Lou Ellen said there’s an affair with the captain. That you don’t want to leave anymore.”
His brows furrowed together. As he glanced around, the other pirates seemed curious about his response. “I’ve no affair with that man,” he answered honestly. It was honest, wasn’t it? “He’s taken an interest in me. I don’t know why. But I don’t want to leave anymore. We’re in the middle of the ocean. He treats us well. You all have good clothes on your backs do you not? You’ve been fed, your weapons returned. What is out there for us if we attempt to escape?” He looked at the others solemnly. “The captain saved my life. I feel… safe here. But if you want to leave, I will ask the captain to allow it.”
“You won’t come with us, will you?” Cecil asked quietly. Slowly, Will shook his head. “I stick with you,” he said.
And slowly the others agreed. Here and there pirates declared their loyalty to him. Even Lou Ellen who had been so upset, agreed to remain on the ship. Then, just because he wanted a reason to talk to the captain again, he went to tell him the news.
When he reached the cabin door, he hesitated, unsure of whether he was supposed to interrupt or not. Before he could decide, the door opened and the first mate stepped out, a sly grin on his face when he saw Will. “Can I help you?”
“No,” Will responded. “The captain can.” The first mate hummed, making a point of tying the string of his shirt. Will clenched his jaw and swallowed hard, suspicious of the insinuation. The green eyed man jerked his head toward the cabin and Will pushed past him, entering. “Nico?” he called to the seemingly empty room.
“Come in,” he answered tiredly. He was sitting on his bed, still shirtless. “What is it?” he asked.
“My crew…. They’ll stay.” He paused momentarily. “I’ll stay.”
Nico smiled, though there seemed to be a form of pain in his eyes. “I’m glad,” he said quietly. Unsure what else to say, too distracted by the finger marks on his arms, Will began to turn away. “Will,” he called. Will stopped but didn’t turn. “You’ve something to ask me, love.” It wasn’t a question. He knew.
Will turned around and faced Nico, looking him in his dark eyes. “You… and him…. You…?”
Chocolate brown eyes gazed into his solemnly. He wouldn’t hide anything from him. He wouldn’t lie to him. Will wasn’t sure how, but he knew that. Slowly, Nico nodded. “But it wasn’t love. I don’t love him.” Will furrowed his eyebrows. “I don’t know how to love or what it means.” He stood and neared Will slowly. He lifted his hand but hesitated as he reached for Will’s face. “I fear he may kill you if he knows of my interest in you. He is already suspicious. I had to convince him he was wrong.” Will didn’t respond. He wasn’t sure how. He was upset, but he wasn’t sure he was supposed to be or what to do because of it. “Forgive me,” Nico whispered. “Will, please forgive me.”
Then, very slowly, he leaned in to press his lips softly against Will’s cheek.
