The mind can grasp the process of language much more quickly than it can develop the understanding of its sound. For proof of this, just look at the various dialects in one particular language. Developing the same sound is quite difficult, especially across culture groups. Now consider this, when you look at all the languages across the globe having different symbols and patterns for arranging them into words, they all have one fundamental element in common: sound. If you are human and wish to speak, it matters not your ethnicity, sex or creed, breath must come forth from your gut and out your mouth in the form of a sound. From there, it is only a matter of learning the rythmn of your culture and how to string the sound together to form words that can be understood by those surrounding you. • It is the same with the Kingdom of Heaven. Heaven has a very unique sound and, unlike human tongues, it can be clearly expressed through all dialects. But first, we must be willing to open our ears to hear it. Then we must be courageous enough to begin to speak it and one day, bold enough to declare it. • The truest expression of God is not in His words nor in His flesh, but in His sound. • It is God’s sound that permeates every form of material in the universe both invisible and visible. His sound is what holds the cosmos together and first gave it light. And, I believe Adonai Eloheinu, melekh ha’olam “Lord, Master of the Universe” as our Hebrew brothers call him, is using our fantasy friends to help us discover the shape and size of that universe and our role in it. • In a world that warns you to stay away from so much “taboo” out of fear of false truths, it can be challenging to navigate the movie and arts expressions of our day. But Christians know there is no need to fear the supernatural. In fact, we are called to live it by our faith. If we’re asking for the Holy Spirit to do something, we do not need to fear receiving a counterfeit. The way that God moves in power looks a lot like “New Age” at times, and this has scared many Christians away from operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. • The truth is that the gifts of the Holy Spirit will look similar to the counterfeit. The best counterfeits resemble what they are made to imitate. Because the counterfeit and the authentic will always look incredibly similar; the main test is the origin. Life is a careful measure of walking out expectations without trying to anticipate them. Anticipation breeds anxiety and all kinds of discouragement because it’s based on our timeline. EXPECTATION is peace and rest in the Promise that God WILL DO a thing. We must learn to rest and keep our hope in Expectation without anticipation. • The temptation is to lose Expectation all-together. But we cannot do this. If we stop expecting God to show Himself trustworthy, we are in danger of losing our hope. We have become limited by our thinking - impoverished in our hope of Expectation of what is to come 🌈 Look for Him today.
