Art from when i was in the hospital all through last Christmas, New Years, and Valentines Day and a nurse got hella aggressive with my PICC :) because she decided i wasn’t actually in pain ig?? and was annoying her? by crying? and requesting medicine and getting upset and advocating for myself when she left me for 2+ hours past when i was due :””) ?? wild

Ive been on TPN becase tube feeds not going good.

picc line installed. it was fascinating to have it going into my tricep and feeling the catheter in my neck. made to cough to move the vocal cords to let the line squeeze by. One step closer to going home.

I'm watching bones on the hospital TV. makes being bed bound bearable.

NICU update:

Sweetpea is officially off of pain meds & antibiotics from surgery. He got to have his ng tube removed and is back to having a bare face. Finger crossed it stays that way!

The surgeons started oral feedings at 5ml and we have worked our way up to 20ml. His outputs are looking great and he is almost normal baby color instead of neon yellow. If he continues to increase his milk intake and gains appropriate weight we may be able to remove his PICC line soon!

Sweetpea is doing everything he can to get himself home and everyone is so excited to see it. He's been such a tough little bean 💙🧸🫛

‘Can you not put him under?’ B suggests as Whumpee clings to A in a rising panic.

‘No!’ Whumpee wails, clinging as tight as their poison-wracked limbs will allow.

A hushes him softly, rocking him gently back and forth before laying him down on the bed to have the PICC line inserted.

‘Can you hold him down?’

A nods reluctantly as they gently lean their weight onto Whumpee's frail body.
