KTOWNWALLZ PROJECT
by Espy
Born and raised in New Jersey, self-taught artist Jonathan Cirlin, aka Espy, is only second-best-known for his graffiti work and his paintings of birds. Moving to Los Angeles in 2006 Espy began looking for wall space, for his art as well as for others, and for more than a decade now has turned artistic interest into a commitment to creating a safer, cleaner environment in the process. Now most widely recognized for founding the KTownWallz Project Espy has organized more than 200 walls by artists from both near and far, and was honored in 2017 by California Senator for Diane Feinstein for his work "changing people's lives through art." Instead of taking Espy away from his art, however, it only fuels his commitment, providing opportunities such as this alley wall off of Pico between Elden and Magnolia. @losangeles_ktownwallz_project @espy_dpt_znc
