by which i mean, in the last two days i have had heard of no less than 10 instances of people screaming at studio employees for being denied entry without appointment or for ignoring the mask ordinance...and unfortunately, in 8 of those instances, those people spat in the faces, quite literally and deliberately, of my friends...meaning they are now out of work for the next 14 days while they are tested and quarantined....and in 1 of those instances, the business had it’s windows shot out by a client for being denied entry.
i get that people are itchy to get their tattoo and piercing fix after being stuck in self isolation for so long...but please...i implore you to be patient with us as we adapt, to take those extra steps to book online if possible or over the phone and to pay attention when it comes to studio policies.
and if you can? please tip your artists - many of those in my industry are independent contractors and when the closures were mandated, lost out on months of income...please be patient, please be kind, we want to serve you to the best of our ability in the safest manner we’re capable of; ...and wear your god damn mask
...that’s it...not the sunniest of things, i know, but it’s something that’s been breaking my heart slowly but surely with every new instance i hear of...
