Finally cold enough to button in the liner.
New Barbour Gamefair, still had some earplugs in the pockets from the seller.
I just swapped the liner out from the Border and snapped it into this one. The liner adds a lot of bulk to the jacket, but also a lot of warmth.
Definitely digging the elastic cuffs with the single snap fastener, a minor quibble I have with the Border is I find myself adjusting the Velcro cuffs every time I put it back on. I may add some length to the sleeves though, I find them to be a little too short for my liking. Perhaps this summer I'll try a factory reproofing for the first time and have them lengthen the sleeves as well.
It came with a hood too, which would be good news except it's an older 'one-size-fits-all' deal and it doesn't work with my extra large noggin, so I guess I'll be looking through eBay for a size Large in a matching tartan.
Just won this pile lining on eBay for my Border. Took a while to find one that wasn't coming from England.
I'm hoping with the addition of this liner, I'll be able to make it through most of the winter with my Barbour.
