4 months ago, Taylor was hit by a car as we walked through a parking lot after a lunch date. Two surgeries, dozens of hours in physical therapy, and a lot of pain and frustration filled his life. But it also meant that he has been home with me while I’ve struggled through a very challenging pregnancy. We’ve had to help each other out so much, and probably have seen each other more in these 4 months than the prior 2-3 years. While I’m sad that his first trip back to work means that he is gone for Christmas, I’m happy he gets to go back to doing what he loves.
