Give me Theo who's scary, inhumanly calm. Always, forever, in every situation, cool as ice. Like, just think about it. The only time we ever really see Theo freak out is when he's threatened with being sent back to hell, and even then it was a fairly mild reaction when being faced with eternal torment. He rarely makes a hasty decision, everything carefully manipulated and set in place. Malia, Stiles, and Scott can all attest to Theo's abilities. They suffered because of them. Healed, in some ways, because of him.
And then pair a Theo who never has a hair out of place, with Liam. Liam who's an IED, a bomb waiting for the slightest thing to set it off. A bomb who never got ahold of his werewolf instincts. A bomb who was nurtured by Scott and Stiles, fed off their anxiety and insecurity, filled up with shrapnel and lead until his explosion became deadly. And a Theo who saw a *home* in that. Saw a Liam who may never get better and called him *pack*, set him up to be *Alpha*.
And then a Theo who drops his master plan but sticks around, and a Liam who finds he's been craving that kind of security. His scent is always calm, his heart beat steady, calm eyes and a soft smile waiting for him as he digs his teeth a little too hard. Liam who only needed acceptance, only needed someone to see his bomb and build a house around it, tell him to explode when he's ready, because he has an endless ocean of deep calm surrounding him. It's safe to explode into Theo. He becomes an underwater volcano, a hydrothermic vent. Blazing heat meets all encompassing depth. A downpour. A glacier. Liam burns hot, Theo runs cold, but Liam always felt alone and exposed until Theo enveloped him, and Theo always felt alone and unreachable until Liam took TNT to his walls.
Unstoppable force met immovable object.
