lock your files in linux !!!
Sometimes our computer or laptop is accessed by others and we want to hide perssonal files from them . It is very important when you have a common PC or Lappy , also it is important to lock files to protect them . In linux , now you can save your files and documents in a virtual disk inside your computer file and you will be able to lock them .
The application or software i am depending , "LOCKBOX" . Let me show you how to install and use . There is a code below . Copy that full bold code and open a terminal window and paste there and press ENTER button .
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:fabio-massaioli/lockbox-ppa; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install lockbox
During installation you will get some authentication questions . It will ask you to press enter or ctrl+c , you will press ENTER . And also keep in mind - "It is only for ubuntu or linuxmint or other ubuntu bassed distributions and there is strongly recommended to read through the printed texts in the terminal ."
After installation You will have to start that LOCKBOX from application menu or by searching .
This is how it looks like .Click on Setup Encryption .
Press Add key .
And put Passphrase and repeat passphrase . Press ok .
You will find this -
Your lock key or encryption key is generated .
Now click on ok and click on Setup Disk .
You will find like above and press create image .
Now put disk size value and also select filesystem .(ext4 is ok) . Press ok . And done .
As you have created the Virtual disk by an encryption key but there is no mounted
disk as shown below.
Now right click on lockbox in Bottom hidden area(Gnome-shell) and in topbar in unity . Press unlock disk .
After putting encryption key you will find there is a mounted disk . That is your desired place to lock and hide files . Put files there and eject and get your locker work .

Going to try to install Linux Mint again..
I usually use Ubuntu but since I heard Linux Mint was getting more popular.. well, here I go.
BUT
Tried to boot the DVD.. said it was Loading. Then blank screen with the DVD still turning in my computer.
gonna try to boot from SD card which I doubt will do anything because I'm using this program that puts it on a USB..
But who the fuck knows, I just want things to work. I was going to try Pinguy OS but.. not very notable and also.. I don't feel like wasting another 2 hours to download it because I just wasted my time downloading Linux Mint.
Tor in Pinguyos
For those who enjoy being online with real anonymity, I sincerely advice the use of TOR.
In my case, once I use PinguyOS I started for adding TOR repo to my sources list:
deb http://deb.torproject.org/torproject.org natty main
Then the Key for it to work, using the commands: ( please elevate yourself to root before )
gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv 886DDD89
gpg --export A3C4F0F979CAA22CDBA8F512EE8CBC9E886DDD89 | sudo apt-key add -
Then just do:
apt-get update
Now you can get to install TOR and VIDALIA. Just typing this commands:
apt-get install tor tor-geoipdb
apt-get install vidalia
When running the vidalia installation just choose the option for it to takeover Tor.
Now, you can run Vidalia to start TOR.
In fact you don't really need to mess arround with further configuration.
This is it, tor is now running for your private "lurking" on the internet.
From this point forward, the only thing you have to consider is to use a SOCKS 5 proxy in your applications (Browser, terminal client etc) with the following data:
Host: 1270.0.1 or localhost
Port: 9050
Now browse to a site like www.whatismyip.com and enjoy :)
