THIS IS SO COOL AND IM DELIGHTED!

One of my professors is letting me and another person look through an old bug collection that the school just had sitting in their BIO 102 lab forever AND NOW WE GET TO TAKE THEM HOME!!! LOOK AT THEM!! BEHOLD!!

I originally asked just for the pins because we have a big school event and as the Bee Club we are putting together a native/non-native bug matching activity and I thought it would be cute to use actual bug pins.

(I'm going to use this one for the pins since it's the most damaged and has the least amount of specimens)

The collection was pinned by a guy named Michael Slaughter in 1973 for a Dr. Goodrich. So I'm assuming here but these bugs have just been chilling in the BIO 102 lab for almost 50 years and nobody has cared. Some of the collection has damage but most is fully intact which is wonderful! I can identify some of them but others are a bit of a mystery. Let me know if anyone wants a close up picture of any of the bugs to help with ID or just to see them better!
