The Red Paladins Keith is missing and  the paladins go looking for him and they end up in a former Galra base just to find Haggar has complete control over him.

But guys.... Wait.

What if on the way back to earth. Shiro talks to Lance about Adam??? 

Like Shiro is just ranting?? And then Adam slips out, and Lance is like

“OOO Tell me more”

So, Shiro tells Lance everything. About all the stuff that happened before Kerberos. 

After Shir gets done with his venting, Lance comforts him. Because that’s what Lance does! He comforts his family.

Anyways, there are tears, and then Lance is like

“Can I ask you something???”

Shiro is totally cool with it.

“Sure, you let me pour my heart out to you, so shoot.”

Then it’s Lance’s turn to launch into a rant, but he isn’t giving a name or pronouns. Shiro is listening intently. 

Then it all clicks.

Shiro figured it all out. Lance likes Keith.

How he figured it out is because Lance started anming all the aspects that makes up Keith’s personality, and everything that Keith had did over the seasons.

And then Lance tries to pull that ‘they probs don’t even like me anyways’ card. And Shiro is on that shit, because Keith has the BIGGEST GAY CRUSH on the boy with azure eyes and the one who sassed him at the garrison.

Klance Theory

Keith is camera shy.

When Keith left in Season 4 he said it was a because he wants to find a solution to the war instead to please the public. But I think he also thought knew he wouldn’t be able to ease the public. He knows he has terrible social skills and would be too blunt/harsh or would say the wrong thing an upset everyone including the other paladins. I think he is trying to change this after he yelled at Pidge in Season 1 but he doesn't have a some to help him. His lack of social skills has probably resulted in his fear of cameras because he knows that whatever he does can be played over and over to anybody. Need more evidence watch Keith’s Vlog.

During the game shoe episode, Keith doesn't hesitate when their choosing who to save while the rest look conflicted. There could be many reasons why Keith choose to say that he wouldn't want to be stuck with Lance forever; he could have wanted to keep his badass look for the public, he didn't want to stand out so he made fun of Lance instead of telling the truth, or he chose the response that has the least follow up questions.

Keith is also very afraid of rejection. You can see this throughout Voltron. His mother left him and his father died in a fire when he was very young. Although it was neither of their intentions to make Keith feel this way he still felt different than the kid he grew up with. James was constantly making him feel different. He constantly mentioned his parents and supported all his other classmates with compliments and showing empathy for them but shot down Keith he got a higher score in the video game. He also assumes people will reject him when he meets them as when he assumed Shiro was going to send him back to his foster home after he punched James.

He was also heartbroken when Fake Shiro left him during the Trails of Mamora. he acted differently after he found out that he was part Galra and looked like he wanted to curl up and cry whenever Allura looked at him. So maybe Keith was afraid of being rejected on camera by Lance. Need more evidence watch Keith’s Vlog.

Or he just wants to keep his private life from his public one, like many celebs. If one-day Klance becomes canon Keith would want to keep is private

And Finally, Keith is very emotional. He is emotional and he talks too much. 2 thing he was afraid of when he had to explain his reason. He was afraid he was going to go on a rant why lance deserves to get the Hell out of this shitshow and would end up crying because of how much Lance underestimates himself. Need more evidence to watch the end of Keith’s Vlog.

Also, I am convinced that Bob was judging them by playing a game show so he would have released them if Keith didn't have good intentions towards Lance.

Lance stared at the boy training in front of him. He was told to get Keith for dinner, easy job right? Wrong. Lance didn’t know he would walk in on Keith slashing through training bots, his body soaked in sweat making his muscle more prominent than usual. 

Lance was aware that he liked Keith, he knew since the Garrison. Lance never told anyone since having a crush on your rival is kinda cliche. Lance also never worried about his pathetic crush because when Keith got kicked out of the Garrison Lance never had to worry about it. The feelings started to die and Lance completely forgot about them. Until he saw Keith’s signature mullet that night they saved Shiro. Since then Lance was aware of his crush, yet again, and his feelings were rolling downhill to the L word. 

Lance continued to watch Keith from the doorway. He wanted to tell Keith about his feelings. He wanted Keith to know how he felt about him. He wanted Keith but he couldn’t have him. Keith was too good for Lance and Lance wasn’t good enough for Keith. Keith deserved someone that was an amazing pilot, someone that wasn’t homesick, someone who could keep up with him. Lance knew that wasn’t him. After all who would fall in love with Lance he was just the 7th wheel. 

“HEY MULLET!” Lance screamed from the doorway causing Keith to jump and looked at him, slight fear in his eyes. “Dinner time.” 

Keith gave Lance a thumbs up and walked over to grab his water. He turned around and saw Lance walking away. Keith was about to call out to him but stopped. There was no reason too and it wouldn’t be good for his poor heart. He could only take so much of Lance before he started to become tongue twisted and lost in his eyes. 

Keith had liked Lance since the Garrison. He didn’t even know why, he just became infatuated with Lance’s personality and horrible pick up lines. It tore his heart out when he left the Garrison and he couldn’t see Lance anymore. They didn’t even talk but Keith loved hearing his voice everyday. 

Keith’s feelings grew again when they became stuck on a castle in the middle of space. Keith acted like everything was cool but on the inside he was a pinning mess. Keith had gone to bed multiple times thinking about Lance, he had multiple dreams about him and Lance dating. He had gotten lost in Lance’s eyes more times than he could count and hearing his voice gave him shivers. 

The only person that knew about Keith crush was Shiro. Of course Shiro told Keith to tell Lance but how could Keith? How could Keith compare to the most amazing person in Keith’s life? Keith was nothing special and he was already deemed Lance’s rival. Even if Lance did like him, Keith wasn’t good enough for him. Lance was outgoing and a people person, Keith was the exact opposite.

So Keith did what he did best and kept his feelings a secret.  He didn’t want to risk Voltron over a dumb crush over a amazing guy.
