After seeing Spider-Man: Brand New Day, I was so inspired to revamp my Spidersona!
Piper Parker, AKA Spider-Girl, has a new look and a few new lore bits to boot. However, those will have to be discussed another time because they contain spoilers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

New friends!
I rewatched Into the Spiderverse while supervising a group of kids today, and it reminded me of my Spider OC I made ages ago. I decided to redo her, so here’s my sparkly sweetie, Piper Parker! Her hero name is Metallica, because her coloration and abilities are based on the Peacock Metallica Spider. That was the tarantula that bit her and gave her powers, and it left her with appearance changes, too--sparkles on her skin and hair.
Piper doesn’t make it a secret who she is. In her universe, her hero career is more of a Kim Possible type of thing. The villains know her and know where she lives, but they’re on-the-clock villains and off-the-clock regular weirdos. Piper’s Wade is her cousin, Peter Parker, who didn’t get bit but acts as the guy at the computer. Piper’s Ron is her bestie, Harry Osborne, who uses his skills as the Goblin to fight alongside her. In her free time, she sometimes hangs out with villains like Electro, playing video games.
Her abilities are like Spider-Man’s, but have a few additions. Namely, photo-sensitivity. She can’t turn invisible, but she can manipulate light on her in other ways. Make big flashes of light, or make glowing webs, or make other things glow using her webs. She can increase or decrease the shine of her sparkles, which can make her harder or much easier to see in the dark. Her favorite thing is to make them flash to techno music at raves.
