As I reflect on about two years since I figured out I’m a lesbian, I mourn the people who use their religion as an excuse to hate. Being gay has made me a better Christian, and I truly believe that. People talk about hearts getting broken open and mine was shattered.

I prayed so long for God to take this away and He didn’t. I’m still unlearning so many toxic things that organized religion taught me, and I’ve come to terms that (in the tone of Gaga’s Born This Way) God makes no mistakes.

That phrase is triggering to some. But I fully believe that God made people the way they are when it comes to being queer.

So to the 18 year old me in community college, who thought she was going to hell for being bisexual, I love you. I see you and your lovely broken heart that holds compassion for so many people, and I’m telling you that your love has gotten stronger and your faith has been bolstered.

To anyone struggling with religion and queerness, I see you. You’re not alone. We exist. We have always existed. We will continue to exist and love more deeply.

the idea is shes a mashup of sandman and punisher. quite literally infact, as she was a mortician who was fiercly dedicated to her job (living in a world with heros makes a lot of bodies) and after the shield facilitated death of frank castle, she ended up in a shield facilitated mortuary accident that combined her with him while running the cremator.

now she continues to try to "clean up the streets" though her perception of justice has become a bit warped...

her ashen body is her main power, though she does have intense flames she can wield as a last resort, as using them too much brings consequences...
