StrangeSpot, Round Fifteen: Beaker

While making medicine for a bout of food poisoning, Circe is spooked by Loki’s ghost leaping out of the machine. Cyclotron is powered down and nobody’s around to see her pee her pants; she’s still utterly mortified and wonders if she’s lost her edge.

Lettice is a teen and very proud of her eyeliner. She hasn’t inherited magic from Nervous but she definitely has his eyes, and the downturned shape can be hard to work with!

Erin, Frida and Pixie move in and get to know the household. Agreeing to this is another reason for Circe to conclude she’s gone soft.

StrangeSpot, Round Thirteen: Singles

Erin received the news that her brother Loki had succumbed to the sun, and found out that her forbidden fruit seeds were inert, on the same night. The disadvantages of being a vampire were looming over the Beaker family. Erin had a hunch that the drops of her blood that she mixed in with the seeds, as per the online listing instructions, had been incompatible with forbidden fruit growth. Her yield was two literal pieces of fruit - her plantbabies just... didn’t exist.

As for her brother, she was grateful that she had gotten in touch with him recently, even if it was to admit an accidental turning. Another vampire downside. Anyway, Chloe kindly took Erin to dinner and proposed a toast to Loki, and to her plant twins that almost were. Chloe, who aged up to an elder, reminded Erin of a vampire upside: she had plenty of time to create her family.

Speaking of family, Chloe feels a sudden desire to marry Woody. She’s drawn to the whole hopeless romantic thing... could her commitment-free era be over?

StrangeSpot, Round Twelve: Singles

Robert moves out (Ophelia Nigmos proposed)! His room is quickly filled by Woody, who stocked up on love potions after his extremely awkward moment with Virginia at his graduation party last round.

Erin uses one of her own love potions and asks Woody on a date. They have a great night out together, topped off with a cheeky woohoo in the photobooth at the diner. Woody’s also sleeping with Chloe... they figured they might as well pick up their romance where they left off a little while ago. Lola learns about this when she drops by to catch up on her sister’s love life. Her observation: “Woody’s getting you by day and Erin by night! It’s like Valentine all over again.”

That gets Chloe thinking about what happened to Valentine. He was so hot he spontaneously combusted... which was strange, even for Strangetown. And now her sister is his daughter-in-law. Yeah, this town’s getting a bit small...
