A while ago I saw someone say that Percy Jackson is a Slytherin and my head has been spinning ever since. Percy Jackson...a Slytherin? No, no, no, no....Look I’m not one of those people who automatically views all Slytherins are evil. I know some heroes can be Slytherins. I’m totally okay with people shorting good guys into Slytherin...as long as that person actually exhibits Slytherin traits. Which Percy does not. Slytherins value ambition, cunning, and power. When has Percy every shown that he cares about any of that? We’re talking about the guy who turned down the chance to become an immortal, powerful god at the age of 16. And who less than a year later was willing to step down from the praetorship of Rome after having it for about a day without a second thought because Jason returned. How is he a Slytherin?
