I will forever side eye and mistrust Rick for deciding to both make Hades kids side with the Nazi’s and Romans side with the Confederates for whatever the fuck reason that was, and it’s just never discussed!! 

Me too! It was genuinely such a weird thing to do. It didn't impact the plot at all, and honestly considering the fact the books are aimed towards 12 year old kids, I don't see how it's appropriate for that to be included in the first place. Those decisions should have stayed in the drafts, I'm shocked that the publishing company before Disney let that shit slide. Making children of Hades to side with the Nazis during WW2 and the Romans to side with the Confederates during America's Civil War is a decision an edgy 13-14 year old kid who just discovered 4chan would make, not a 43-48 year old man.
