Rick did the Titans dirty
Am I the only one who feels like the Titans were way underpowered???
Like how in the world were Percy and Jason able to take on titans? Jason didn't even have the curse of Achilles like Percy so how was he able to beat Krios in HAND TO HAND combat?!
And I am sorry Percy may have the curse but he is still mortal. Percy beating gods never made sense from the start. But how is he able to come to a standstill with Hyperion? I know Grover and the other nature spirits were the ones to ultimately beat the titan but come on. Aren't the older divine generations supposed to be more powerful??? These are Kronos' brothers! Didn't the gods need the help of other Titans to beat these dudes?!
Speaking of Kronos...this has to be the lamest and weakest main boss villain ever. He is the titan of literal TIME! So many cool possibilities. Instead we see parlour tricks like freezing a giant while he is eating and Percy breaking his time spell before he gets the freaking curse. After being affected by his reaping blade. It's like Rick uses water boosts as Percy's get out of jail free card and it's so annoying at this point.
Why don't we see Luke with some extra cool time powers? With Kronos as his sugar daddy, Luke should be way more powerful than he was. I mean Grover was able to stop a literal battle with his blessing from Pan. Why is Luke always being short changed, Rick??? Why do the protags get everything?
Also, because I am already salty. Notice how Atlas spares a mortal who messed up badly. Yet Artemis proudly admits enjoying turning innocent boys into animals and turns a helicopter of mortals into birds without a second thought. In the same book I might add. What happened to them? We'll never know. But yeah, the gods are so much better than the titans. Give me a break. Can we have some more development for the titans, please? For the antagonists in general?
