It's tiiiiiiiiiime!!!!! S2 finale babyyyy
I'm also eating so i might not write down as much stuff
Ooh are we going to see what actually happened???? > Not yet i guess
"You can't imagine what that's like" Percy noooo what do you think she's been doing??? She has already chosen you over Luke, she has done exactly what you're talking about
Yayyyyy enemies to friends arc completed!!!!
Oof Percy is taking a beating... Luke did you need to blow off some steam?
Yay Tyson!!!!
Oh they both go down lol
Ohhh this is how Tyson goes away, nooooo
The Kronies??? No I hate it
I'm getting a feeling we will get to see what really happened to Thalia, and I feel like we won't like it... It just feels very like Zeus to do that to her, not even bc she was dying, but bc he didn't know if she was going to choose to save Olympus, so he needed her off the board. I guess that's me placing my bets for a scene that I'm sure is comig up soon
Ah bingo, there's the scene, let's see what happened
Well what do I win? Except for horror and distress???
Okay yeah i really like what they're doing here. Also Luke is just fucking right, but sadly we can't let Kronos win either
I think this show is gonna lead into a much more nuanced view of the gods, and the promise Percy has them make in the end is gonna have way more weight
Also I'm very curious to see how we're gonna evolve Thalia from the girl who is furiously asking where Luke is, to the daughter of Zeus who joins the Hunters... I'm curious to see what the Hunters look like anyway tbh, but especially curious to see how Thalia will be once caught up to the current goings-on. She will not want to be Zeus' weapon, and probably be a lot more tempted to join Luke than Annabeth is, but she needs to be a character that still chooses not to join Kronos. Also, in book 5 the hunters do end up fighting on the side of the gods, they are Artemis's hunters after all, so does Thalia not want to fight in this war or does she not want to be this weapon?
Circe??? Of course she had new statues made... Hmm, interestingly, that means Hylla and therefore Reyna are still on that island...
Percy Jackson Demon Pigeons Attack
You know, theres not like, a godly law that states demigods have to Attend Camp Halfblood, right? If I was threatened with 90 days of imprisonment I think I'd just walk out. This is how Luke is assembling his army yall
Ok the chariot race looks very cool
I love Mr. D just casually smacking the birds
Poor Percy tho, Yikes. I know what Chiron is doing but that really stings
Yeah i mean, if I were Percy I'd leave to, gotta save Grover and also fuck Tantalus. Get his ass Tyson
So Clarisse and Chris will be going without Annabeth, or is Chris going to dip out and leave Clarisse by herself? I love that we get even a bit of focus on Chris, but is he still undetermined in this version? I didn't quite catch if they said he was a son of Hermes or undetermined. More heartbreaking if Hermes shows up, says you can't give up on family, all the while just, forgetting to claim Chris.
HERMES EXPRESS AND ITS ACTUALLY HERMES YALL HEL
Time for s2e6! Once again on Wednesday!
Tyson at the bottom of the ocean?? Figuring out he can breathe underwater? This mirrors Percy at the bottom of the river in s1 so well! I'm guessing this is where Rainbow shows up?
Aaaah first a dream! Well at least ee got confirmed that Tyson is aliv.... Oh fuck that's a nasty dream, Kronos is not playing games i guess
Oooh from that plan I'm guessing we don't get the cannibal monster sheep in the show. Honestly didn't expect to, since it doesn't really feel to me like it fits with the vibes that Polyphemus' island should give off. Polyphemus by himself should be enough of a threat, I think
OH!
OH FUCK
Now THAT'S an interesting addition/change, we're really gonna work towards that Thalia/Percy tension huh
Wh... Why... Is that shovel dripping with ichor??
Ooh we're leaning real hard into the creepiness of the Cyclops voice mimicry
Luke has entered the chat! And Percy has closed the chat!
Sweeties that's not very convincing bleating. He knows that you're here, and you're walking into a trap
Tbh I like the way they changed Polyphemus: making him smarter and plotting, instead of just a dumb giant
Ah that explains the shovel... That was not ichor, it was paint! Polyphemus is cunning indeed
LMAO
GET BRIDAL CARRIED IDIOT
Luke has entered the chat again, but I don't think Percy can just wave him away this time
Ouch that looks bloody... Yeah no not good
Tyson? Tyson! Tyson no!!!
Yeah I'm on Clarisse's side here, giving the fleece to Luke is a stupid decision. The only decision, but still
But of course it had to happen. After all, we just got told that Percy would sacrifice the world to save his friends and especially Annabeth, so yeah, this choice of Percy's was inevitable
Ohhh Luke takes her knife back! His hands on the cursed blade.
However, we've got some new problems now, bc Luke has the fleece, Luke has Annabeth, and they're locked in.
Well that solves one of those problems, but now what for the other two? Hmm Luke should still be on the island, if he spoke the truth about his portal (which I strongly suspect he didn't)
Ah of course Luke took their ship...
Rainbow!!! Oh this is such a good place to put the hippocampi!!! Love to see them
Oh shit that look on Percy's face... He's willing to kill by now. He truly hates Luke, bc Luke took Annabeth. Just wait until Luke kidnaps Annabeth for real next season :D
Hmm that gets me thinking. This is basically already Luke kidnapping Annabeth, so wouldn't it make sense if this is him kidnapping her for next season? But that would mean no Annabeth for.. a while
In interviews the showrunners did hint at Annabeth maybe siding with Luke for a little bit (or at least pretending to??)
Oh shit I just got to the teaser for next week. 'Luke, I think the fleece can get Thalia back to us' hot damn Annabeth, it's gonna be intentional this time??? Wild
And yeah that would be the one thing Luke would be willing to give up the fleece for
Also aaaah that shot of the fleece on the sarcophagus is chilling. I'm guessing Kronos might use Luke losing the fleece because of his own personal wants (to get Thalia back) as an angle to pressure Luke into becoming his body
S2e3!! This time actually on Wednesday!
The oracle speaks to her in her own voice?? Interesting!! Percy got Gabe, but he really loathed Gabe, so does that mean Clarisse is so full of self-loathing? Poor girl
Love Percy trusting that Annabeth can't tell him, and trying to work around it. These two really are Percabeth
Ahhh Clarisse chose not to take anyone with her! I'm guessing that's bc heard her prophecy, and assumed it meant that any friends she'd take with her would die. Which is fair, but also means she's already accepted that she'll fail??? Poor girl once again
Bitch you threatening your daughter??? Asshole
Ooh Alison says she graduated from camp and has been exploring the world! That that's her cover story absolutely insinuates that's normal so yay! no more 'yeah no you just don't live to be older' sadness
Also I love that we're zooming in on some of Luke's allied half-bloods a bit more. In the books he always seemed to stand alone among monsters even tho it was said that there were more half-bloods, so it's nice to actually see them and learn more about some of them in the show!
Love the dead greek sailor sea shanty!!! I want to listen to the lyrics separately :)
Oh noooo Annabeth! Using the safeword to get Percy to back down??? Like yeah killing is the wrong path for Percy, but a strategic choice to kill Luke in this war is not exactly what the Great Prophecy was about now was it?
Ooh Percy sees the problem with the safeword system! Though to be honest I do think Annabeth does honestly think this is what the prophecy is about, bc she thinks Percy wanting to kill Luke comes from a thirst for revenge (which might be correct tbh)
Interesting that they want to kidnap Luke now, let's see how that's going to fail
Oooooh yes i love this! S1 already hammered home the question of what makes someone a monster, and now Luke takes a side in exactly that: monsters are also just children of the gods. Also makes Luke's side all the more reasonable! And we can see that truth dawn on Percy, but also he's been raised by Sally, so he knows of the world other than the myth one, and immediately calls Luke out on that oversight, I like it
HA! Tyson I love you
Hmm now that I'm thinking about it, the book explicitly excludes Tyson from the Great Prophecy by saying he's not a half-blood and therefore the Great Prophecy doesn't apply to him. I'm curious to see if that remains true in the show
Oh shit Clarisse doesn't even have the coordinates (well done on motivating the crew tho)
Ooh Annabeth choosing Percy over Chiron means she's learned from Percy last season! She's choosing her friend over the gods <3
Alright! Studying ain't happening today apparently, so it's time for s2e7!!! I'm so stoked bc this is all gonna be off-book for e7 and e8, i think, and I'm very curious to see what they did with it
Okay very interesting flashback scene but i saw absolutely none of it. Come on guys i know it's dark in the story but you're making a show! Add some lighting!!!
Oooh love Tyson using his voices like this!
Yayyyy charmspeak mention!! Lovely! Tbf that always felt like a necessary 'yeah other cabins have powers too' retcon from Rick in hoo, so i like that it's included from the getgo now
Again Percy of course picks Annabeth over the world
Wait huh, Iris isn't accepting offerings? Wdym the network is down??? Then how are we doing the beautiful finale of the book? Although tbf that was the big 'expose who did all this' plot, and in the show everyone already saw that Luke poisoned the tree, so the iris message finale doesn't really fulfill any purpose anymore. Also i think this is headed to a very different finale where annabeth convinces luke to give clarisse the fleece to save thalia, so that'll be different anyway
I do like that we're getting more characters on Luke's side, Alison is a treat
They also don't know why Iris messages aren't working?? Interesting
BLACKJACK!!!!
More Mythomagic????? So hyped for that game becoming merch at some point
YESSSS ASK HELP FROM THE WISEST WOMAN THERE IS!!! ❤️❤️❤️Sally❤️❤️❤️
Oooh Kronos is talking to Alison now?? What's he saying? I guess we'll find out
Yesss the Great Prophecy!!! Finally!!!
Or not, i guess it's fair he doesn't actually want to know the prophecy exactly, that must be hella scary
Great fight scenes, also shit Percy that's quite the wound, guess it's time for Percy to have a vision then
"Oh, I needed that" Clarisse you're iconic
BLACKJACK!!!
Aaah FLY HOME ALONE!!!
I was wondering how she was gonna take a plane if they're already so nearby, but yeah that explains
Yeahhhh good on Percy for admitting it was wrong to do that and apologizing
HAHAHAHA THAT'S PAUL'S CAR, RIGHT???
Sally you queen
"When two equally powerful forces collide, there's no telling what will happen" yeah that's exactly what Percy's worried about lol
Oh fuck that's interesting!! In the books Kronos never wanted Percy dead bc he needed him, but now that Thalia is coming back, Kronos thinks she'll be on his side, so he can order Luke to kill Percy
And we might already get a battle for camp half-blood next episode??? That's like two seasons early, but okay
Yup we're gonna get a battle for camp half-blood already, alright i guess??? I really liked this episode but I'm not at all convinced by the premise of a battle now tbh, I suppose we'll have to see what they've made of it
Well, with new year's eve and all i hadn't gotten to it yet, but now I'm home alone so i think it's time for s2e5! Let's see what Aiaia looks like in the show :)
Hylla!!!!! Okay I'm not expecting a HOO love-action show at all, but yay Hylla!!! I'm curious to see if we'll encounter Reyna as well...
Oh what, we're not doing the 'turn any and all men into guinea pigs' thing? Ah I guess if we're making Circe a more understandable character, like we did with Medusa, changing that a bit makes sense?
Ahhh that's how we're introducing the concept of the fatal flaw! Still curious to see how this is gonna turn bad, bc like, surely Circe won't simply just be good???
YESSSS!!! Like I predicted last week, we're also getting to see what happened to Clarisse after the explosion! And she's already landed on Polyphemus' island!
Oooh a Grover and Clarisse scene!!! I love it
Oh what a beautiful way to show Percy his fatal flaw <333
And there we have it: nobody is getting past the sirens, except when Circe needs someone to get past them. So I'm guessing she has some measure of control over the sirens? Either that or she's simply lying to her residents
Guinea pig percy!!! He's so cute
HAHA subtitles called him Percy Pig! Amazing, he's Percy Pig Jackson now
Noooo Clarisse!!! That's not what the prophecy means!! I guess she got to have the moment of fearing for her life
Ooooh Annabeth is not showing her hubris by wanting to listen to the sirens, but by thinking she can withstand them, because she thinks she knows her fatal flaw... As a change from the book, I kind of like that, as it's absolutely the same logic, just pulled to a different extreme! (Also this way Percy doesn't have to fail at tying her to the mast)
Wait her dream is unifying Percy and Luke??? And she succeeds in shanking the sirens? And then Athena shows up????
Okay interesting, tho i loved the book version of the sirens, so I'm not necessarily convinced by that change?? (Except if it's a double fake-out, and her mom showing up bc she bested the sirens is the siren song)
Okay yeah her mum showing up was indeed way too far fetched lol, but it does make sense that that's enough for Annabeth to fall for it
Well done Percy! No underwater bubble, but we did get Percy hauling Annabeth back to the boat
Another great episode, and that ending was such good Percabeth
