I know this is a little off-topic for your blog, but do you (or your followers) know of any Christian tumblrs that are explicitly pro-choice and focus a lot on that topic? I've been struggling to find that kind of community on here. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide, and for all your work on this blog!

The irony of someone whose fav book was RD running a show called “Hannibal” is quite telling, given that Hannibal was barely a character in RD. It’s clear that the Hannibal Lecter character is not the reason BF is really interested in this universe.

He's basically the anti-Thomas Harris. TH finished RD and was probably like...'nah, it's not happening with WG...but this Lecter character, I can take him somewhere'. Whereas Bryan fell for a character that was later going to be given up on :/ That's probably annoying...idk. but get over it because Clarice Starling is amazing.

But as I've said many times, I can understand Will being someone's favourite. I can understand the appeal of RD, to some, over the other books. But what I don't understand is saying this and then focusing attention everywhere else but those things. So Lecter might not be why he is interested in this universe, but he's interested in his story lines and those of the people surrounding him, to the point that he has so far ignored most of the plot that made him love this series? I don't get how this links up at all. It would be like me wanting to see Clarice work the Dolarhyde case or something -- this was never why I fell in love with her character, or the series, so I don't need it. I like the characters I like for the specific situations and traits that made them who they are, as they were originally presented to me. Of course the show has some leniency with this, and it is basically and AU, but he's made Will simply a vessel for almost anything he wants to throw at him, so I don't see what his interest specifically is anymore, or ever was? It's like a find and replace of a name on a fanfic. Sure, you get to see your favourite person by name, but it isn't really them, is it?

Does this even make sense? lol

Recently I went to a talk by David Sedaris, and as we chatted while he signed my book afterwards, he found out that I make very little money at my job, so he offered to pay me $50 to drive him to Starbucks the next morning for a meeting he had there. While I unfortunately did not find out his drink, we bonded over the fact that we are addicted to our Starbucks Rewards cards and spend way too much money there. So I had my own little real-life literary Starbucks moment, and it was grand.

We hope your lives are all full of real-life Literary Starbucks moments.

I've read those too! And we definitely do, a few newer ones recently have felt off to me so I haven't carried on with them.

You know about TyphoidandSwans, right? There's a lot there that haven't ended up on ff.net or AO3

No, although I did read part one of that and maybe part of part two? I know that one has gone on for years. I'm rereading Paper Trails, which I recommend! I recommend all of kalabangsilver's H/C fics tbh.
