for the first time in these new forests I felt childlike joy, and utter peace sitting in the shade under a faery portal. connection comes with practice. there are so many new plants to learn (bonus points if you can help with the bottom left plant) I saw a bee for the first time in so long, and followed a butterfly until they raced off, coming home with a foraged bouquet.

Maybe it's pure laziness on my part (double Taurus after all) but I really can't be bothered much to work with plants that I can't find in my environment. There are enough of them - right here - that I could spend the rest of my life getting to know them and deepening my relationship with each and never get anywhere close to them all.
If something new finds its way in, I tend to assume that it's meant to and contemplate why this is happening.

I was super excited to grab this book a few weeks ago! I love all of the books @iamjulietdiaz has come out with. She tends to offer different information than other writers do on the topic of Witchcraft and she does it in a way that resonates with me. This book doubles as reference material including correspondences on over 200 herbs... But it also has some really awesome information on working and connecting with plants as well so double bonus. Does anyone know how ferns do in low lighting? I live in a basement with two decent (by basement standards) windows, one gets more light then the other and I want to bring some kind of fern into my room. But if it's going to die from the kind of poor lighting the basement gets then I'd much rather know before hand.
