Is it alright if I request platonic headcanons of z team from dispatch with a gn reader whos about 15 or 16, the idea could be that they see them as a parent so what would their reactions be? • Gonna be honest most of them panic, when they realise you think of that person/the team as your parent/s their first thought is ‘Really, me/us?’
• In game if the reader is placed with the parental character, said character will throw them some praise or slight tease.
• But the true reactions for each person is this:

• He mentally panics and you can see the look on his face, not complete denial but the thought of ‘why him?’
• Will question you on this, glad you found someone to see as a parent but you could’ve gone to anyone but him, hell, even Chase would’ve been better.. Actually no, he’s the better choice here.
• After he does the math and realises he is in fact one of the better choices, he thanks you. Thanks you for trusting him with this role and he’ll try to uphold the title.
• Shocks Chase when he asks for any parenting advice he has, only to be laughed at when he mentioned what happened with you.
• Overall Robert isn’t a terrible choice, one of the better ones for sure. Just give him some time and he’ll get there, it’s just he’s never done the whole ‘being a parent’ so be patient.

• I fear this man wouldn’t catch on, while yes he’s book smart he’s not ‘noticing the kid you’ve gotten really close to now sees you as their dad’ smart.
• He misses the way you come to him for most things, got injured, want food, just wanna chat and hang, assumed you did that with everyone else.
• Only when the others teased him for ‘being a father now’ did it hit him, you didn’t go to them for this, you trusted him with this, with you.
• Doesn’t rush to find you and confirm this, instead he waits until you two meet again, during that time he goes through every instance and keeps realising how dumb he was not noticing this sooner.
• Definitely a little awkward about it but tries, as you’ve given him another reason to make him stay in the program, and he was not going to let you down now.

• This man was not and is not prepared for fatherhood to a teenager, or just fatherhood in general.
• When you joined the team he was a little shocked, what did this kid do that caused them to join the program? That also came with a little respect, because you’re here with the grown ups.
• He might've picked up on the change sooner but with Robert also becoming their new dispatcher his attention was stolen, only after someone says something he realises.
• This guy though, will confront you after a little thought, finding you busy with something only to pull you away.
• Questioning everything that you’ve been doing, constantly finding him, talking, anything he remembers.
• Doesn’t deny the new title, actually takes it in stride now that he has confirmation. (Went home that first day and almost combusted immediately, ‘He’s a dad now, he has to be a good role model.’)
• Next day takes you under his wing, training, talking shit, almost molding you into a mini Flambae, much to everyone's dismay.

• He notices pretty quickly how you gravitate towards him, especially for more important stuff. When you get injured you search for him and ask him to help, and he does. After work you sit and talk with him about anything you can think of.
• While he isn’t that smart he can read you like a book, and accepts this with open arms. • Becomes the embarrassing dad stereotype I fear, loud and always close by. Whenever you complete a job he’s over the comms complimenting you loudly to the others, on break he’s telling embarrassing stories.
• He also becomes a slight helicopter parent, still new and awkward to this but you’ve given him this title and he will keep it.

• Seemed to unconsciously notice this, not that she really thought about it before it hits her.
• How she always looks for you in meetings or when either of you come back from a job, when you all get food she’ll sit by you, even grabbing the food to make sure you have something.
• She even mentions you in a song, not that anyone knows who she's talking about but she does.
• But in all honesty she doesn’t really know how to parent but she tries, it helps that you’re a teen and not some younger kid.
• She will make holograms of you, while they’re useful in battle it's more fun to prank and scare others, though they do catch on pretty quickly.
• She tries to be a decent parent though, mainly by making sure you’re okay and eating. Don’t doubt her, she’s stubborn and will wait you out for most things.

• She acts more like a big sister but hey, she won’t actually deny being a parent if you want her to be yours.
• Actively trains with you, though mainly training you, she has to make sure you’re strong and can handle yourself when she’s not around.
• She’s another one who makes sure you eat, normally gets you double of what you want just in case you’re extra hungry and if not she gets the rest.
• Bullies Robert until you get placed with her on jobs, they both know when not to though. When that happens she brings you back a souvenir, they are mostly dumb little things that civilians give her as a thanks or she manages to steal.
• She will pick you up, her favourite way is tucking you under her arm, and has no problem throwing you over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

• He’s not too bad at being a parent, just bare with him for the first little while. Otherwise he’s got it pretty down pat.
• Isn’t too overbearing, makes sure to ask after most jobs how you’re going and if you’re injured to get help, not from him though as he can’t really get in there.
• If you’re around for the bar fight, he keeps you outside at least until the fight then he lets you run off but tries to keep an eye out. Makes sure you don’t sneak any alcohol in the rush of everything. He tries to keep you included in things the team does, even if he’s not included every time but he understands.
• Another one who enjoys picking you up, and he can do it anyway he wants. Finds it funny to hold you above his head, but when you’re causing trouble he scruffs you.

• She’s rightfully shocked at first, because look at her and what she's done. Does that really scream ‘parent material’ to you?
• Actively tries to make you regret the decision and choose someone else but recognises when you don’t listen and stick with her, which he silently admires, ‘you really want to choose her, then she will indulge.’
• Trains with you often, brushes it off as ‘you’re a hero now, you need to protect yourself.’ But in her mind she doesn’t want to see you hurt.
• (Seeing as she’s taking up sewing as a hobby) She eventually makes you a piece of clothing, something simple like a shirt, skirt or something else, leaving it with your other items without a note. (you know who it’s from)
• When you’ve trained enough (in her eyes) she’ll get you your own knife, something strong, engraved and meaningful. Even if you don’t use knives and just keep it to look at, she’s happy knowing you’ve kept it.

• Respectfully he has no clue what he’s doing, Robert and the others are already quite small, why are you smaller than them?
• After he learns you’re a teenager, or still a young child in his eyes, he’s making sure to keep you safe.
• This man will take other things you do as a sign but the actual hints won’t work, when he does confirm it he’s excited because he has a child now, so he has to show you off to everyone he can, dispatchers, other heroes and the public.
• Tries to train but is always a little too powerful so he gets others to help as well, but tries his best.
• Always searches for you around the SDN building, checks in how well the jobs are going. And when he starts buying the edible fruit arrangements, he moves from eating them to leaving them for you. (Always gets your favourite fruits)
• Sometimes he treats you like you're fragile, and to him you are.
• Enjoys picking you up, his first few times and his first thought is to scruff you, when you complain he moves to pick you up under your arms. That eventually morphs into you sitting on his shoulder or just hanging off his arm.
• I fear you’re probably being dragged into acting for some SDN advertisements, but he’s happy that you’re doing it with him.

• I fear he panics, notices quickly but is in denial, because ‘would you choose him? He’s grateful but him?’
• Doesn’t really come across as parental but he tries, even if they’re all shot down/teased by the team. This doesn’t stop him checking in when you return from a job.
• I hope you don’t mind some water.. Okay it might be a little more than ‘some’, as he always drips some onto you.
• Really wants to introduce you to his grandmother but instantly becomes worried, if you assure him he will introduce you two. Voice dropping as he says ‘t-this is my… k-k-kid..,’ she loves you so don’t worry.
